Brazil have not beaten a European team in the knockout stages of the WC since July 2002 when they beat Germany in the final.

2006 - France dabaru dem in quarterfinals
2010 - Netherlands did the honors
2014 - Germany turned them into sausage filling in the semifinals
2018 - Belgium crushed them lie an overcooked Belgian waffle in the quarterfinals
2022 - Croatia served them cold oats in the quarterfinals

The Europeans have their number now. Forget it.
Here is a World Cup nugget for you.
Every S. American team that struggles to qualify for a World Cup, does very well at that World Cup.

Brazil barely qualified for USA 1994.
We all know what happened afterwards.

Here they are struggling to qualify for another US hosted World Cup. Count them out on your peril!
Here you are pulling things out of your rasshole again. :woot:  Brazil qualified for the 1994 World Cup as top of their qualifying group, with 20 goals scored and only 4 conceded.

Kai! Blablalega strikes again! :woot: :woot: :woot: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
This is the problem with some folks on CE.
You pull out a table, see Brazil at the top and immediately start ejaculating, making noise and calling people names.

Look at that table carefully. I also suggest you look at the actual qualifying games.

Everyone who knows the game, knows Romario scored two goals in the final qualifier to save Brazil who were desperate and at the cusp of missing out, at that point.
How Romário and Bebeto set aside a personal rivalry to forge a legendary international partnership
James Sweeney18/09/2019

Brazil faltered without their star man and were at genuine risk of failing to qualify for the World Cup for the first time ever. With Parreira under increased pressure to reinstate Romário, and Brazil needing to win their final qualification game against Uruguay, the coach turned to Bebeto for advice.

What’s that saying about empty tins and making noise…..? :taunt: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
Before the last round of games Uruguay and Bolivia had 10 points and Brazil had 9. If Bolivia had won or tied and Uruguay had beaten or tied Brazil then Brazil would have had to play an intercontinental playoff against Australia to qualify. As it happened Bolivia tied their game with Ecuador and Brazil beat Uruguay to jump to the top of the table and qualify. That is not struggling to qualify. Brazil knew what they had to do and did it.

Compare that to Argentina who finished at the cutoff point in their qualifying group and had to play a two-legged intercontinental playoff against Australia to qualify for that same mundial. Now THAT is struggling to qualify. According to your crackpot theory they should have won the 1994 WC
Nice try. :D They begged Romario to come in and play. He did, scored two goals to win 2-0 and qualify. Without those two goals …..

BTW, these are not my theories. This is widely known among World Cup and South American football enthusiasts.

Keep digging. I suggest you look for a Scipio Americanus for help on this issue.
Jagbajantis upon ingredients. Who struggled more to qualify for WC 1994? Argentina or Brazil?
You really should be embarrassed for asking about Argentina not performing well in 1994.

During the 1994 World Cup, Maradona played in just two games before doping tests found ephedrine in his urine sample. He was kicked out of World Cup play and again suspended for 15 months. Maradona's third positive drug test, which came after a season-opening victory by his Boca Juniors in 1997, led him to retire.

Pack the midfield with grafters and stick the whippets on the wing. Bone crunching 50/50s, raking cross field passes and pure speedy Gonzalez. False 9 in the middle? B*llocks, Big Mario Jardel, Ederson, Alison, whoever’s son going longer than Pipen’s arms. Route one. Hold up? No need. Flick on. Indulgence.
Coach in full P.E. teacher aka Pulis and Fat Sam football mode. Lol no thoughts of tactical deviation from norm. No plans to break lines or counter press, just route one, hurly burly, curse and grunt, good ole kick it long John tactics lol. What a funny lad this coach is … man must’ve been brought up on football during the age Bertie Mee and the parents of Sir Alf Ramsey

They barely qualified for '02. Big Phil was drafted less than 2 years b4 the tornament.
Having said that this team lacks imagination and will struggle. They need a true 9 and steel in the midfield. Casemiero losing form is not good. Even if Neymar is fit and back to form, they are not going anywhere. Argentina are currently the most complete team in SA. In addition, Bielsa is cooking up something a storm with Uruguay.

If this team makes the WC, they might go all the way.

@TTK, find an atlas of Europe, put a finger on the page, close the eyes and move the finger around in a few circles then stop. Eyes open. Whomever sits beneath the finger tip is more than likely a decent scrap vs Brazil. Purposely picked, Europe boasts many who will issue them a biblical flogging.

Simply put, Brazil are finished. They’re also rans at the European game they endorse.

Ceaseless supply of photo and video clips of men in shorts. Womens World Cup wasn’t too far back, not a single such posting. Sweaty t-shirted men (and boys) back out in skimpy shorts and the archives working overtime.

Each to their own. As Macklemore once chimed, “Same Love”. And rightly so.

Wah wah wah.   keep crying! City sold a worthless striker to you for 50m pounds and bought the best striker to ever play in your league for 57m pounds. Dunked on you last year and are about to dunk on you again.  Its turned you into a ranting literature teacher :woot: :rotf:
