...y'all did indeed.
Many thought United robbed Coventry during the semifinal, and that playing City in the final will be an embarrassing defeat.

What a fairytale ending to Jonny Evans’ career. After getting relegated with Leicester City last season and being out of contract and clubless, he trained with his boyhood club Manchester United in pre-season to keep fit while looking for a new club. Incredibly, United (whom he joined as a 16yo) resigned him 20 years later due to a defensive injury crisis and extended his Premier League career.

During his previous stint at Manchester United, Evans had won every club trophy he played in: 🏆 Premier League, Champions League, World Club Championship, League Cup, Charity Shield. The FA Cup was the only trophy he had never won. In the final match of his career and 17 years after he made his debut for Manchester United, he got the only missing trophy he had not won. He can now ride off into the sunset 🌅 in retirement with a complete medal 🥇 and trophy 🏆 collection.

After Casemiro got injured, the choice of Mainoo’s partner in central midfield should have been between McTominay and Amrabat. Instead ETH persisted with his cruel and unusual experiments of Mount and Eriksen in midfield.

His problem is the wonderful Mainoo. That kid took his chance and never looked back. Normally Casemiro would have played ahead of him. Good on him finding his feet. He showed his quality at the WC and I thot he had a decent AFCON.
I think you meant Mainoo is dynamic and can play with him. Mainoo is the type of player that will be your nemesis if you're not on your game. The boy took his chance and never looked back such that he disrupted our midfield. He not only played himself into midfield, he played himself into a contender for first names on team sheet. When he's not playing, it's like what's the coach thinking? While the coach is biting himself especially when the team is poor. Mainoo was the shining light.

Beautiful story of a hardworking, quiet lad that always tried to do his best. Brilliant guy too with 9 As in his GCSE. Maybe he would go do something with his brain after hanging up his boots. The guy is epitome of what a Man Utd player should be. A lot of guys would have quit after West Brom.

Thanks for sharing that extra bit of info about his education. I did not know that he got 9As in his GCSEs.

Another tidbit: there were 6 youth team graduates in the Manchester United team that beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final. That extended United’s streak of having an academy graduate in every single one of the last 4000+ matches it has played (a streak going back 86 years).

Manchester united is a cauldron of disciplinary issues: Ronaldo, Sancho, Rashford, and now Casemiro.

No surprise there, junior has a pattern of humiliating top players Ronaldo, Maguire, Sancho, Rashford etc.. We need a real manager not this guy with small club mentality. He can’t rally players to achieve.

Even the new owners are clueless. So they decided to keep Ten Hag, very good idea, but why one year? They are already unsettling the man. They could have given him three years and not renew him after 2025. So if he does well during 24/25 they will give him another year?
