^an improvement but far from a stellar return. Total goal involvements? Sancho’s not in the top 20. If this is something to celebrate, then Chelsea have bigger problems than first thought. Much like Neto and Madueke, he’s been average at best.

There were some very strange calls in that Liverpool v Manchester United match.

Beating PSG in their Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi days and knocking them out of the Champions League - twice

Beating Man City away 2 weeks ago

Knocking Liverpool out of the FA Cup last season

Winning the Europa League, FA Cup, and League Cup

Ole going an entire season unbeaten away

Ole beating Man City 3 times in one season
joplass wrote: Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:37 pm This could be a turning point for us. The way everyone showed the drive to play and stay alert was something the team should take into all future games. This draw is better than the win against City.
Please don't remind me. Very painful stuff.

"Man Utd's front three pinned Liverpool and Fernandes gave Alexander-Arnold a real problem," examined Jamie Carragher on Monday Night Football. "Their 3-4-3 system got the better of Liverpool's 4-2-3-1."

Slot's take was similar: "United had a very good game plan; no build up, go long and don't give us a chance to press high. It's more about the opponents' plan whenever we drop points."

If FFP/PSR did not exist: sell Casemiro and Eriksen, and bring in Douglas Luiz. He would be a low risk signing as he has played (well) in the Premier League before.

Ten Hag was utterly appalling in the transfer marker. He sold this young player despite Shaw and Malacia being injured, also sold Brandon Williams, and let Reguillon (who was on loan to cover the injured players).

Selling 3 LBs (including one of the most promising LBs in European football) in the midst of a LB injury crisis was criminal.

End result - United had to play Amrabat out of position at LB as they did not have a fit LB during most of last season

More goal contributions than Vinicius, Mbappe, Musiala, and Rafael Leao. So United sold him for only 15 million and spent 85 million on Antony.

Where's the issue? All the big teams got small teams and scaled through.

Brilliant quote.

United have missed midfield bastardry since Andrew Smith left to join PSG. Perhaps PSG has sold a player with equal levels of bastardry to United?

What is it with South American midfielders? So many of them have that dawg in them that makes them seem more like gangland hitmen than footballers (Vidal, Simeone, Rodrigo De Paul, Mascherano, Almeyda etc - street fighters the lot of them).

...I guess the Ivorians will be glued to United and the epl like Kanu/Nigerian fans were to Arsenal.
I believe Kanu created huge follower-ship by Nigerians, including the "I am global" oblong head, till today

Off with his head. Bring back our Moyesy!
Yall need to fire him, dude is trash

Best move for Antony and the club. His horror miss against Southampton summed up his miserable form. He passed the ball to the GK when about 70% of the goal was open for him to score from 2 yards out.

8-) Predictable. Your knack for appearing when the doomed plot shows signs of thickening is commendable.

Still Amorim's playhouse.

If you make it real physical and be as clinical as possible the current Manchester United line up does not stand a chance. Some horrible recruitment choices over the years.

Sancho, Anthony, Mount. A fraction of the cost could have secured some real steel!
