Equality vs Equity in pay is a touchy topic. Remove equality from what he said and replace it with equitable Pay structure and you have a better understanding of what he is trying to say.

Brands are doing it for visibility: if there are more eyes on the men’s game then that’s where they will target. Theres only one way and that’s for the women’s game to become more popular

...has always been that way especially since their first women world cup win in 1991, followed by 1999 in front of a huge crowd at rose bowl in Pasadena California. Largest football arena.
