You never know in football. You can’t possibly predict. My heart wants Nigeria to reach the next final against that racisst Argentina. Just a wish.

Mbappe is finding his mark at Madrid. Good for him. MOM today.

We live in a crazy world with expectations but if… as we say in Hausa, ka yi konta da hankali ka, yes I did not forget, you actually calmly look at it. France won a World Cup and African’s team lol was inches from snatching the trophy. Kiki is as cool as Ademola Lookman. They will earn a few trophies. It’s their DNA

it is not easy to walk into a team like Real Madrid. He has struggled and it may not be over.

The kid won a World Cup and carried his country almost to another one. He’s gonna find a way.

Mbappe has been piss-poor and underperforming (by his standards) after his injuries at PSG.
He was also woeful when PSG would shift him from the left to the center at the end of games.
So any casual observer would have known he would struggle at RM unless he started from the left or Ancelotti (sp) worked hard on him.

It's a mental thing because he used to be deadly in the middle before.

Can you please update us on the outcome of City's purchases of wingers? Oh yes, and also on the state of Liverpool's game today.

The problem at Madrid is not Mbappe, or Rodrygo or Vini Jr. They are indivually brillant. But they do not yet play as a team.

I love Ancelotti, but he is the "problem." Another coach will get them to play as a team.

BUT - note that Madrid is joint first on the league table, in the Copa SF and in the CL QF. So in reality, there is actually no problem.

It is not a major problem, but if they could play as a team, they would have been stronger.

Two bulls cannot stay the same kraal. Real Madrid didn’t need Mbappe, but being Real Madrid, necessitated his acquisition. Vinicius has waited patiently for his ascendency to the throne. Finally, having come of age to take seat at the helm, Real throw Kilian into the mix for good measure.

The great irony is, as far as both sides of the game be concerned, Rodrygo is the unsung hero. Bidirectional brilliance. The effort in both directions is like Dennis Rodman in a multi-gender Moulin Rouge on methamphetamine. Work rate.

If Camavinga and Tchouameni decide to equal their potential and they do away with the disastrous Ferland Mendy and acquire a proper defensively inclined fullback to compensate for what lies ahead, they’ll be even more of a force of nature than the force of nature they already are. Solid outfit.

Real Madrid had lost Toni Kroos. So they have a gap in midfield. They decided to hire a striker instead, but they needed to make some acquisitions.
