This is coaching on the level of Amodu saying "I tell dem make dem enter dem no wan enter". Or Chris Udemezue saying to players: "My boys, pam pam".

From the Babayaro in 1997 era till now Chelsea have not won a single title with English manager. This is why the so called big 6 have foreign managers.
No English manager has won in the Premier League era either.

All this sympathy for a clearly substandard manager is laughable. Lampard got the job because of who he was, not what he was capable of, now we have the sentimentality that is reserved solely for English failures.

Chelsea signing a coach to learn on the job was disappointing.

Tuchel is walking into a very toxic environment.
And the British media will give him no breathing room.
He’s gonna needs some damn good luck, and a lot of it
to survive cuz the natives ain’t happy.

Other tweets mentioned Ruediger and Jorginho as those who went to the board to record their grievances.

Lamps was losing the dressing room. They complained he wasn't talking to them.

Tough one. Big egos, big personalities, from an era chronologically close to Lampard's own but from a culture perspective, far removed. What does Chelsea mean to a player these days? As much as a Man United, Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal. More than ever, man is a mercenary. If the method makes sense, then comes the loyalty. Unfortunately for Franklin, the method was pure madness. This wasn't the JT and Ash era, where a small cabal ruled the dressing room. Today's troops will Gucci suit and Salvatore Ferragamo loather stroll into the chairman's office, stinking of Creed Royal Oud and tell Top Brass the "gaffer is sh*t". Simple.

Poor man-management skill on the part of Lamps and his coaching staff. That a player fell off the pecking order does not mean the players must be cut off totally. He should be building them up for when they will be called on to serve.

Anyway, all the best to Lamps in his next gig. That will be soon.

Actually his greatest achievement was sweeping Jose's spurs last season :taunt:

Anyway, all good things must come to an end. 18 months is an eternity for a Chelsea manager to be on the job with little sign of tangible progress. I wish him well in his future endeavor most likely at the Championship level due to his connections with club owners and ability to attract promising loanees from the top English clubs. :thumb:

This is funny considering what he and JT used to do to coaches they got tired of.

From Chelsea to Championship, no chance. Had Moyes been fairing badly, West Ham would've been the obvious punt. If Hodgson steps down, perhaps Palace. His best work has come with young players both at Chelsea last season and Derby before that. Good calling card. Southampton's a shout, should the inevitable transpire and Ralf is pinched by a bigger club.

Apparently the beef has been going on since last season. Which obviously affected the team's form.

Some issues over favouritism but again, ends justifies the means. The results gave greater importance to the internal strife.

I agree. The so called internal strife is only a problem when the team is not producing results. When you have 25 players - most internationals - there will always be unhappy players. As Pep mentioned in an article I read today, the only metric to hang your hat on is consistently of good results. That is the bottomline for Frank's failure.
