A lot of these players make more money than their coaches and some are clients to super agents that the clubs will not risk pissing off. A pissed client is a threat to the agent's commission and an angry agent will make it difficult for the club to sign his other clients.

The people who are appalled and shocked by this are those who have never played serious competitive sports. This is elite professional football, not a pickup football in the local park.

Angry coaches rant at their players like this all over the world (even at competitive amateur/semi-pro level).
