The only way out i see for Ronaldo is a 1yr loan.

But with which club is the question.
Whichever club wants to take him on loan will probably ask that United pays half tge wages

One week before the season starts: Man City and Liverpool have signed the two best young strikers in the world, Chelsea bought the most sought after CD in world football, and a proven Premier League forward.

Meanwhile, Man Utd is going into the new season with a weaker squad than last season, and if Ronaldo leaves, without a FT center forward.

The two signings are a LB (AKA a position where Man Utd already has England’s first choice LB and a dodgy Brazilian international) and a 5’9 tall central defender who will be facing 6’4 tall strikers in the most physical league in the world.

Even Arsenal and Spurs have done a lot good transfer business for what it's worth.
They are certainly in a better shape than what they were last season.

By the way what did you make of pre season.

Benteke, pre-season is not a reliable barometer for in-season form. Remember when LVG beat all comers in pre-season? Then when the season started, was losing to Swansea, West Brom, Stoke, Leicester, and went on the worst sequence of home results at Man Utd in about 60 years.

Someone said pre season doesn't matter if you are winning your games, and is a big worry if you are losing games

Diallo, Pellestri, Garner, and Elanga should be sent out on loan. They are either not yet ready for the first team, or they have massive potential which should not be ruined by being around a high pressure toxic squad during a transitional season.

Gana Gueye is on his way back to Everton. A dynamic, hard tackling DM with no offensive ambitions = exactly what Man Utd need.

Man Utd should have signed him when he left Everton for PSG. Now they have missed him a second time and allowed him to return to Everton.

Only 2 players in that list don't play for or are not associated with Manchester United.

That says a lot methinks

Alex Telles is off to join Sevilla on loan. Good move for the club and him. He is surplus to requirements with Shaw, Malacia, and Williams playing in his position, and he is not good enough to play for a top 4 EPL team.

Plus Dean Henderson seemingly does not want to play for Man Utd again (given his comments below). He blamed the club for “wasting 12 months of his career” last season, and admitted that he did not bother speaking to ETH before going on loan to Forest.

Anthony Martial is already out of the game on Sunday with a hamstring.

And that means Ten Hag has to call on Ronaldo at some point already this early.
No wonder United don't want him to leave.
And Ten Hag said in his press conference today that he is happy with Ronaldo

How about a punt on Werner or Aubameyang? I actually thought Man Utd should have signed Werner before he joined Chelsea.

Kajifu- Barca needs to sell half of its squad!

The Barcelona financial circus and meltdown continued because La Liga has refused to let Barca register its new signings Lewandowski, Kounde, Raphina, Kessie, and Christensen, or Dembele and Sergi Roberto who signed new contracts.

Barca’s wage bill was 551 million Euros per year. La Liga told Barca to reduce the wage bill by selling some players or to generate more income. In response to this mandate from its governing body, Barca instead had the genius idea to do the opposite of what it was told to do, and increased its wage bill by signing 5 players, chasing a 6th (Marcos Alonso), and also spending even more money in transfer fees.

Barcelona may be the only club in the world that makes Man Utd seem rational.

United vs Brighton

New season, new manager, a few new players but the usual weak spots firmly and prominently in place - Harry Maguire, Scot and Fred.

Is Ten Hag already setting himself up for failure by trusting the wrong guys? Time will tell. Good managers can make something out of nothing.
