Good luck to Axel. So many of his managers thought he had "It". How did he go from having Mbappe and Neymar in his pocket only a few years ago, to being released on a free transfer?

Injuries ruined his career. He is like another Phil Jones (who will surely leave the club on the same day as him this summer).

The Man Utd injury hoodoo has struck again.

Sabitzer
Martinez
Van De Beek
McTominay
Henderson
Heaton
Jones
Tuanzebe

All injured for most of/the rest of the season.

I think it has been said more than enough that Manchester United has been extremely terrible at transfer business and transfer strategy ever since Alex Ferguson and David Gill left.
Manchester United fans have been crying out aloud for a director of Football, or something of that nature that is more organised.
And above all that's one of the reasons most United fans gave always wanted the Glazers out, because all this is of their doing.

It took the Shiekhs at City a while to get it right, but they eventually did by assembling a solid team of people to oversee transfers with the manager.

But most importantly all this doesn't take away the points brought forward about Manchester City

Remember when I said this 👇🏽 4 months ago?

Well, Jonah's 12 year career at Man Utd will end this season. He joined the club as a promising 18 yo. Leaves as a grizzled veteran over 30yo.

wiseone wrote: Mon Feb 27, 2023 4:37 am Phil Jones appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports’ coverage of the Carabao Cup final is portentous. Either his career at Man Utd is over or his career is over - period. This may be him lining up a new post-football career.

Ironic that Jones appeared alongside Neville. Scarily, Jones joined Man Utd in the same year that Neville retired (12 years ago). Jones and and De Gea are Man Utd’s longest serving players and the only members of the current squad who played under Ferguson.

Manchester United - specialists in chasing players that do not want to join the club.

Why are there so many rumours that Man Utd will spend big to buy a GK this summer when the club already has:

De Gea - 🇪🇸 international
Henderson- 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 international
Heaton - 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 international
Kovar - Just won the Czech league (on loan at Sparta)
Bishop - 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 U21 international

Even the reserves are internationals! I have often said that even though Man Utd’s outfield positions need reinforcement, the GK position is probably where Man Utd has more depth than any other EPL club.

When Rangnick said the squad needed “open heart surgery”, it was very telling that he exempted the GK position from his comment.

Wout Weghorst: 0 Premier League goals in over 20 weeks he played for Man Utd.

The first miss in his “highlight reel” below was against Fulham in the final match of the season yesterday.

The FA Cup final will be the 4208th consecutive match in which Manchester United has had a youth team player in its squad. This unbroken record goes back 86 years all the way back to 1937 (before World War 2 and before Alex Ferguson was born).

United wasn't that bad in the FA Cup Final

They kept City very busy.

Just that final bit and lack of top quality.

I think this new manager is in the right direction, he lost a striker and goals in Ronaldo mid season, so not too bad....

If this is true, why would United want to pay 80 million to buy a player who plays in the same position as Fernandes? (AKA a player who will spend most of his time on the bench because Fernandes always plays)

Tielemans (before Villa signed him) and Laimer (before Bayern signed him) were more suitable options.

At this point we have to ask ourselves, who is doing this, is it manager Ten Hag continuously asking for Mason Mount, or is it the club itself.
It reminds one of the De Jong saga

I really hope this transfer does not go through. That is 60-65 million that is needed to strengthen other areas of the team (half an Osimhen).

Take your scare mongering elsewhere. Chelsea are not impressed.

Lol.
