I know injuries are never an excuse, but this is quite bad......
United aren't the only team with injuries. Google Chelsea, 2 seasons , 23 players injured
That's why Pochettino can't get a tune out of the billion dollar project and they lie 12th on the table
12th? Bournemouth is 12th
Whatever it is, 9th/10th, you get my point though.
You played 12th place Bournemouth, how market
The same market after you played 20th/30th place Sheffield United

Summer shopping list (if FFP did not exist):
2 young CDs (Branthwaite and Todibo)
Forward: one of Rafael Leao, Osimhen, and Boniface
A DM (suggestions?)
Playmaker (to give Bruno a break): Eze
Bring Sancho back from Dortmund
Get rid:
Varane
Martial
Eriksen
Casemiro (good player, but coming to the end of his career and need to free up wages in a likely season without Champions League football)
Greenwood (FFP makes selling him a virtual necessity)
At least one of Lindelof and Maguire

Apparently Anthony is number 1 on the “Get rid” list.
BTW, according to the numbers, Martial is one of the most productive forwards when healthy.

Unfortunately “healthy” is a very rare occurrence for Mr Martial. He has played in only 31 of Man Utd’s last 71 Premier League matches. Being unfit and unavailable for selection for 53% of Man Utd’s matches during a 2 year cycle (while being paid over £10.5 million a year) is basically paying an employee so sit on a treatment table.
While we are at it, his near namesake Antony should also consider new employment when/if Sancho returns.

Finally the NYSE commercial monster is partially returning to being a football club after several years.

Jason Wilcox was a good winger who won the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers. Sadly, he is now 53yo and I do not think he can still compete in the Premier League. As well as signing off field executives, Manchester United should consider signing some good players to replace Evans, Varane, Martial, Van De Beek, Eriksen, and Maguire (all of whom are certain or likely to leave the club this summer).

Getting football people in charge of the football off-the-field to redefine and support proper structure and environment will go a long way in closing the gap left by the top rivals and even consistently mounting proper challenge at champions league level.
This goes way beyond just signing a 53 or a 22 year old winger, we have had the likes of Ibra, Bastian, Di Maria, C Ron, Alexis, Pogba, Cavani but the cracks are still there.
The ex-Man City & Southampton director will have overall responsibility for football performance, recruitment and operations and will be reporting to a proper football person, not an executive banker.

Not to mention Luke Shaw, Malacia (who has not played a game all season), Mount, and Martial.

^Get in there and f**king gerr’on with it! Whether it’s Casemiro or Cafe Nero, the tackles should be no less full-blooded, the aerial duels met with gusty and 50/50s met at full speed, studs skirting the borders of legality. It’s an FA Cup final, the injuries are irrelevant. Three toast, double bacon, beans, mushrooms, deep fried and spooned on with the oil in to. Fockin’ av’it!!!!

If Ten Hag has any self respect, he will tender his resignation after this game regardless of the outcome.

...united don't need to win this match because they will be embarrassed by city at the final.

Coventry have previous from the spot. If not mistaken, their Burnaboy stunt double loves a high, wide and handsome.
