Alexander Arnold is a big liability defensively. He’s been torn to shreds by Vini Jr

They prove it again and again. Such a good team though Liverpool lost it after Ali's mistake.

Never recovered after that.

Just amazing to me how Madrid always seem to get the rub of the green...

Will take a tremendous effort to rebuild this team...

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Need a new defender with VVD and Konate. Sell Gomez and sign 3 midfielders that can run. For all the pressing that we did 1st 15 minutes, Henderson and Fabinho tired easily. A tired Fabinho is even much slower than usual. Alison, Gomez and Balcetic were naive. The 3rd goal was the worst of all to concede. School boy errors...

Real Madrid is built for CL football. They perk up and find ways to make things happen out of nothing in CL. Pool has overcome a 3 goal margin before in CL (vs Barca) but his year is not it for Pool.

I think you miss the point.

The old team was already gone.

A new team is already being put in place and in the unfortunate position of being between and betwixt. Without injuries, 4 or 5 of the new players would've started in this game...

But there's no doubt the succession planning has not been good, esp in MF

Tansi Xanechukwu Jideofor, ke du ko di! :D I see you are here. Your "new team" seems unable to compete at the top level. Or is it your washed up, sh1t on a stick, old and stale coach struggling like he has in every single club he has ever coached -- even relegating Mainz. 1 title in 8 seasons, 750 million spent! Finished!

That 3rd goal. Every one was looking at the ball. Criminal defending. Not a single player had their head on a swivel.
