Basque players are often homers. Not easy to get them to venture far afield. There're exceptions though but few and far between.

Look at Illaramendi who couldn't even settle in Madrid and had to return within a year plus..

In a way I get the point by Coach.

Its very easy to get swept up in the hype train of football these days.

There's obviously a reason that they wanted Zubimendi in spite of what they already have. I understand...
But I do agree with coach that there are qualities in what is already available, even if this means adjusting the game model a bit.

There are different ways that different teams have looked to slice the cake, given that there are not too many specialists available at the top end of the game...

Yeah, I think the qualities are available across a number of players in the squad, just not a single one. It'll be interesting to see how the team shapes up in the first few games.

This IPS will hurt some teams. They play a very high octane football. I wonder how long this can last. However, their off the ball movements, pressing in a 424, is impressive . good entertainning 1st half

It will come down to quality. They’ll be a better version of Kompany’s Burnley. Inverting, everting, relegated.
