Thiago just saved Chelsea. Yet again. Kova with a stupid blind pass.

Guardiola going full Bayern, bizarre player deployment, more shapeshifting than Optimus Prime. In the early exchanges, doesn’t look as though the players fully know what to do. Did the Mad Genius anticipate a Brightonian 3-4-2-1? A change after the break would come as no surprise. Absolute garbage thus far.

The rise and plateau of Joao Cancelo, something amiss with the talented Mr Ripley. Bags of ability, not quite at the races for a while now. Interesting development.

Kepa strikes again. He made no attempt to stop that pass.

When today is lost, turn to tomorrow. Youthful exuberance, ignorance of adolescence, nothing stirs the fear of civil society than the angst of today’s youths. Atomic anomie.

UnHarry Potter, whilst out of his depth, is deviating too far from what made him, alongside his Englishman privilege, highly regarded in Premier League circles. What exactly are Potter’s Chelsea? They lack the pressing, the intensity, the aggression and audacity of Potter’s seagulls, albeit with players far superior.

With Tuchel having established a solid system at Chelsea, not too dissimilar to that endorsed at the AMEX, it’s somewhat surprising Potter has deviated so far from that well known to both. Injuries haven’t helped and perhaps have left Chelsea with more square pegs, but it looks far too skew wiff at present. Tactically all over the place and seemingly lacking players in multiple positions.

End of an era for the Blues.

So Chelsea paid 60 mill for Cucurela. That’s looking like some money not well spent.
Aubameyang? Man he should have stayed in Barca. He seem done at this level.
