Madrid sign Camavinga
Now this is smarter. Spend the 200m in setting up a serious squad this year. Upgrade your CM, Center Back position, and Winger position.
In addition to Camavinga, I will go for 2 quality CBs and Bernardo Silva.
Then Next year:
Mbappe - Free
Pogba - Free
Haaland - 70m

Re: Madrid sign Camavinga
I thought the centerback upgrade was Alaba. Laporte is probably available too and so is Kounde if they want a sub 6' backline.

Perez is the embodiment of strategic thinking in squad development and re-development here...

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Re: Madrid sign Camavinga
He's someone who 20 years ago wanted to rebuild the Madrid teams from his childhood of Puskas, Kopa and Di Stefano. He was able to match them in star power but not in success, that sort of changed when he got a second chance. If there something you can say about him it's that he learns from his mistakes and he understands football (not necessarily tactics and the like but more the emotional side) in a way that few others do.
Re: Madrid sign Camavinga
Perez is a man who knows how to build football teams. He knows he will have a bad season with low expectations but he will possibly win the next 4 of 5 seasons. At least he will have serious football squad.
