He does everything right until he gets into the final third... very talented yet frustrating player.

This Ghana pitch is bumpy and affecting routine passing play. That said, Ghana is physically stronger and has more pace than SA. They should win this game.

In fairness the ref has done a good job except for that pk decision. Still not sure what he saw. Barely any contact.

Not sure why CAF did not assign a veteran ref for this crucial match.
The perception this ref is portraying through this dubious PK call is that he is on the take.
Looked like an Amartey dive to me. Super soft penalty.

Oh my gosh! Watched the replay in slow-mo. Amartey actually touched the ball with his right hand and then fell down like he was pushed. Massive injustice on SA. Horrible call by the ref. He probably thought it was the SA defender that touched the ball and made the wrong call.

On the basis of how they’ve played today, I don’t see this Ghana team making the WC. Too many second rate Euro players and the likes of Baba Rahman and Jordan Ayew whose play has drastically regressed over the years.

What other bad or questionable calls has he made? Arguably most of the 50/50 calls have favored SA.

Meanwhile the game to watch is Portugal vs. Serbia. Quality everywhere. Portugal needs a draw (currently 1-0 up) while Serbia needs any margin win.

Patricio spilled Tadic’s shot for the equalizer.

That should’ve been game over for Ghana. Missed the empty net tho from 30 odd yards away.
