Algeria 3 vs Ghana 0
Algeria 3 vs Ghana 0
Friendly match, but Algeria still looking very good... I hope they get dethroned as AFCON champions
Re: Algeria 3 vs Ghana 0
Algeria is my favorite to win the tournament. I think they are still on their extended unbeaten streak. In addition, the recently won the Arab Cup so they have had more time to work on team chemistry than most other participating countries. The other North African teams such as Tunisia and Egypt may also benefit from having played in the Arab Cup.

Ghana started like 3 of their starters.
The scoreline flattered Algeria but they still look good and should be the favorites to win.

If France B/C mainly played in Saudi Arabia and Qatar lol. Yes they have some left overs from France but don’t discount the great work that their current coach has done. Picking/starting players not just because of the club they play at (even picked a clubless player) but those that fit the style of play he wants. Individually Senegal (even us self) has overall “better” players according to club affiliation but they are probably the best TEAM around irregardless of that.Scipio Africanus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:43 pm Algeria is basically France B/C. Don't count out Cameroon. Solid from goal keeper all the way to attack.maceo4 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:48 pmIf France B/C mainly played in Saudi Arabia and Qatar lol. We like to complain about our leadership but even on this little forum, we are unwilling to abide by our own rules. Shame
Cheers.

You are completely wrong, this is not the reason why Algeria has very strong credentials.
Algeria has very few Algerian players that happen to be born in France(about 6 or 7). Much less than most of the other participating teams, riddled with foreign born players.Nigeria has few of its own(6 foreign born and raised players and the rest of the squad pretty much formed and grew up in Europe). If more foreign born Nigerian talent was available to the Nigerian squad, surely it would have been snapped up in a flash. But unfortunately, the Nigerian diaspora is unfertile and cannot produce great talents to feed up their home country's national team.
If having foreign born players is a criteria for success, Algeria would not have been in the forefront of the african football at the moment(squads of the likes of Senegal, Morocco ect... or even Tunisia use more foreign born players) .The greatest percentage of the Algerian squad is formed by players born in Algeria.Algeria has just won the Arab Cup of nations with a squad exclusively based on players who play their football in the Algerian and Arab leagues(big arab-african teams were involved in the tournament Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco).

You don’t know what you’re talking about wrt Nigeria. Have you checked the rosters of European and American teams lately? Nigeria has more of her nationals playing for foreign countries than any other nation in the world; Bello and Dike for the US with many more in the pipeline. Saka, Ogbonna for Britain with many more in the pipeline. Loads of Nigerian talent in Europe aspiring to play for their adopted countries… and then there are those who have declared for Nigeria but are awaiting FIFA clearanceDavos wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 9:17 pmAnd Nigeria is a mix of Germany Z+England X...Scipio Africanus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:43 pm Algeria is basically France B/C.
