...GB were robbed.
Referring controversy continues.
He doesn't need VAR to decide that, it happened right in the open before him.

Yes, it was a foul by the Guinea's player
...but ref had plenty time to whistle ball dead. Bad refereeing I'll say.

If it comes down to goal difference, Nigeria is safely winning this group as an added bonus

To the contrary. With VAR, you want the referee to allow the play to continue just in case there wasn't a foul.

Big and strong doesn't translate to football intelligence, so I fail to see your point here.

Careful...a team can start slowly as you well know and then build momentum...
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

It was a foul.
I saw it as two men fighting for the ball one went down and the other stayed on his feet.
