Re: This Forum and Nations Cup
I am not going to lie, seeing Liverpool FC threads etc in d middle of discussing a game between Gambia and Tunisia and other AFCON related gist is a bit weird.
Any consideration to creating an AFCON sub forum like we did for the WC and Olympics?
With AFCON being a month long and 24 Teams I think it could be something to look into.

Not a bad idea. AFCON deserves its own independent forumUgbowo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 6:40 pm I am not going to lie, seeing Liverpool FC threads etc in d middle of discussing a game between Gambia and Tunisia and other AFCON related gist is a bit weird.

Forget about it. Eagles Nest was designated exclusively for the discussion of Nigerian football. Some of you guys have been pushing to adulterate the Eagles Nest. Not going to happen

This is the kind of ossified thinking that stops Nigeria from developing.
There's only one football.
Those EPL discussions could easily have been centralized in each team's thread, with no limitations for any Nigerian or African football thread.
If I want to discuss Tunisia, Nigeria's next opponent, I go to world football, yet its really about Nigeria.

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.
We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

No you don't. If you did you wouldn't be arguing needlessly and exhibiting the rigidity you have...

Re: Re: This Forum and Nations Cup
I agree with the intent of this thread. We need to discuss all afcon football in one forum. So, either the EN or its own forum, just as we do for the world cup. It's quite clunky flipping between forums on the same subject.

Re: Re: This Forum and Nations Cup
I agree that we should have considered making an AFCON subforum. It is long overdue.
We will do it for the next AFCON.
As for those wanting to dilute the EaglesNest because that was what it was done in the past, they should keep trying.
They should go to Liverpool forum and open threads about AFCON that are not related to Liverpool players... I bet they will let it stand as it discusses football.
