It's good to see Auba back. He should have scored more goals too.
Ter Stagen should have saved the goal.

It's amazing to see how quickly Barça are bouncing back. Though they still have a lot of work to do.
Overall, many La Liga team's footie standards dropped.
Barça's situation is understandable and has been a long time coming. Real Madrid too.

But Atletico Madrid? Their dip in form is very strange.

Am happy for him. A true footballer wants to play. Unlike Ozil that just wanted the paycheck before he retires. Auba wanted to play. Will watch the game later today. Should be on espn plus.

You forgot to add Ansu, and many others.... In fact, Ansu is regressing.

This group, while talented, was not ready for the first team football as the previous generations.
Just look at their football on the green grass.

It is not easy to adapt to UEFA CL or La Liga footie if you are used to playing in the 3rd division day in and day out.

Yes Andy’s problem is he is injury prone. But all these guys are playing in the first team and repping Spain. I believe they have other great players in their ranks. Watch out for a Senegalese central defender called Musa Ndiaye. They are quickly about to build another dynasty.

There was another forward who came up to the first team before Ansu. The kid looked promising and exciting then he disappeared. I wonder what happened to him.

I remember the days when Barça B was good enough to compete well, in La Liga but couldn't because of the rules.
Just having Barcelona on your resume opened many doors.
Nowadays, there is a perception in some circles, that La Masia products are a liability because they struggle to adapt outside the system.

For the trivia obsessed, he also made European history.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes HISTORY as he becomes the FIRST player in the 21st century to score hat-tricks in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and now LaLiga after stellar three-goal Barcelona display against Valencia on Sunday
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged a hat-trick for Barcelona against Valencia

The three-goal showing means the 32-year-old has made European history
He is the first player to score hat-tricks in England, France, Germany and Spain in the 21st century
His hat-trick for Barca came in just his third appearance for the Spanish giants

By KIERAN JACKSON FOR MAILONLINE

Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made history after becoming the first player to score hat-tricks in four of Europe's top leagues in the 21st century.

The 32-year-old, in just his third appearance for the Catalans, netted three times in Barca's 4-1 victory against Valencia on Sunday, after the referee deemed that the former Arsenal man had scored instead of team-mate Pedri.

The three-goal showing means that Aubameyang is the first player since the turn of the century to score hat-tricks in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and now LaLiga.

Barca's fourth goal at the Mestalla was originally assigned to Pedri, but has since been changed to the Gabonese striker.

His first hat-trick in European football came while playing for Saint-Etienne in February 2012 against Lorient, where he netted three times just two months after signing permanently with the Ligue 1 club.

However, after moving to Borussia Dortmund a year later, Aubameyang did not take long to hit the ground running in Germany.

On his Bundesliga debut against FC Augsburg, he scored a memorable hat-trick including a goal from his first shot in the league.

Then, after joining Arsenal in January 2018 for a reported £56million, Aubameyang had to wait over three years for a Premier League hat-trick.

He did score three times in the Europa League in May 2019 - ironically against Valencia - but his first three-goal showing domestically came last February, in a 4-2 victory against Leeds played behind closed doors.

And now, after his strikes on Sunday, Aubameyang has claimed the match ball in four different major European leagues.

The result puts Barca back in fourth place in LaLiga, level on points with Atletico Madrid having played a game less.

Aubameyang moved to Barca on a free transfer on deadline day in January after falling out of favour under Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

So in 2022
Auba has played less games and has scored 3 more goals than any Arsenal striker. He now has 10 combined goals for season. He surely is deadwood?

Much of age from a footballing perspective is circumstantial. In the colours of a going nowhere has been, Emerick was every bit OldManeyang. Gonel with his youth was the appetite and interest to pursue that which Beloved pursued. Non-entity. Looking every bit as washed up as the squeaky clean dishes on a Persil advert, Pierre had undergone Premier League uncleization, the next stop was full Yakubufication. His departure was absolutely essential for all parties.

Aubameyang is still a very good player and woulid have succeded playing in the EPL under a manager that knew how to use him or manage him. The guy is still quick and his first goal against Valencia shows he is still a sharp shooter. Well taken goal, roofed it. Certainly not old or deadwood at 32. Messi is like 36. Players are playing longer. Well players that are playing under their true age.

Pedri has to be the best young player in the world.
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Wow. Barcelona have scored:
4 goals against Atletico Madrid
4 goals against Valencia
4 goals against Napoli
4 goals against Atletico Bilbao

Xavi masterstroke. :star_struck:

Pedri's pass to Dembele for the Depay's goal was sublime.
Xavi, said Pedri does everything right. We all get to see it for our selves.

Auba scored again.

Pedri and Dembele are the best players on that team right now.
Not far off are Traore, Alves and Gavi.
Auba made a very good decision to leave Arsenal. He will end up making more money than he left behind.

Makes me wonder about Adebayor's decisions...
