He only scores in inconsequential games. Not one single goal in the numerous finals he has played with Argentina. Not even in the cup Brazil and Neymar finally dashed him out of pity. He is well past his best. Without the legacy he built, I doubt he would be on the Argentine national team now. The rest of the players are trying to carry him to a World Cup win.

Messi scored 3 goals in their last qualifying game to send Argentina to the last World Cup in Russia.

If we are using when one retired to ascertain their real age then the entire members of the U-20 world cup around the world are 6-7 years older than the age used then.
How many 35-37 year olds do you know still playing at the top level?
And you are also implying all human are created the same. People also age at the same rate...

I just wondered what happened to the Nigerian who played against Messi at youth level and the World Cups?
