Lets Talk Xabi Alonso

Post by danfo driver »

I remember when I heard he took over as Real Sociedad B coach, I kept an eye on him as he always seemed like a player who understood the game and relied on intelligence. He won them promotion for the first time in more than 60 years, I think. the next year, they got relegated.

When he took over at Leverkusen, I was intrigued. Leverkusen was struggling badly and almost fighting relegation. He has come in and dragged them up and they are now fighting for CL positions, while in the QF of the Europa league.

He is silently making a name for himself.

Maybe it’s Mikel Arteta’s unseen hand? :)
Did you know that Alonso grew up next to MIkel Arteta in Spain and I think were neighbors in LIverpool?

Chelsea should pounce before Lampard relegates them. :)

Keeping an eye on he and Mascherano.
Many LFC fans want him when Klopp eventually leaves

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Cool. Now we know where your attack lines will be when you do your usual shakara. :rotf:

Meanwhile, your boys, Juve, only have themselves to blame should they lose tonight. Terrible finishing all game long.
