Sign of a good team: they win even when they play badly.

Totally agree. 100 million? He wasn't even worth 10 bucks today.

Correct man. :thumb: Was a very tense game though. The first team to score was going to win. Inter could well have won it.

Good game. I knew it was going to be one of those types where one goal settles it. Congrats to City, they had a phenomenal season.

The Vanishing starring Erling “easy peasy”. 60 goals is no small feat. There is, was and forever will be, only one King Igwe Dixie Ebubedike Dean.

Off topic, Bernardo Silva. Two words. Brain. Romelu Lukaku, a gift to 19th century anthropologist.

I don't know if it was the occasion or not but City looked very ordinary and beatable in this game. Inter showed that 3-5-2 gives you your best chance against City. Glad City won it though.

Wha choo looking at?!

Scipio they are ordinary. Consider Rijkaard team, Madrid of Redondo and of Zidane, this City team is just highly efficient and not wow

They looked very tired to me. They definitely weren't their usual selves.

Spot on. Looked absolutely gassed. Mentally more than physically. The mistakes made were most unCity-like. Add to that the enormity of the occasion and its demand for absolute mental acuteness. Had it got to extra-time, City would’ve fallen. It didn’t and all else is irrelevant.

And yes, a well drilled 3-5-2 does cause unrest. The man-marking of the wide forwards, amongst all else, forced City through the midfield, which was equally well-marshalled. The challenge is keeping this up for the full 90. Inter couldn’t and were rightfully plucked.

TBH, City haven't played all that well for a few games now. FA Cup vs United was also pretty underwhelming but for Gundogan's stellar performance. But after several years of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the CL, they should enjoy this 'ugly' win.

Next season may be the greatest premier league contest ever. It’s shaping to be an arms race for the ages.

Liverpool
Newcastle
Villa
United
Chelsea
Arsenal
City

Will all be top six contenders are every game will be an absolute neat grinder.
Long may it continue

:rotf: :rotf: :rotf: Two pages back, people were demanding for Lukaku. One even posted about Lukaku bringing pace and good shots.
Clearly they haven’t seen Lukaku in this season. :)

I thiught he would surprise me by being good on the day
