Buffon Retires After 28 Year Career

Post by wiseone »

What a legend. He Schmeichel, and Neuer are the best GKs I have seen play in my lifetime.

To give context to how long he has been playing, when he made his debut Messi was only 8yo! 😳

An absolute superstar.

Despite being from the same country as Dino Zoff, he has an incredible fascination for Thomas Nkono.

I saw a documentary where he said that Nkono was his hero and that he became a GK because of him. He even named his son Thomas after Nkono!

My only beef with him as captain of my other national team is him not standing up for his fellow national and club team players against racists, otherwise a distinguished career :thumb:
For my sceptical Nigerian Friends : Pessimism is great because you are either always right or pleasantly surprised.
