Bros, the problem with our setup is actually because of the people who see everything foreign as better than what is right there in front of them. The biggest victims of the lack of meritocracy and professional ethics as you termed it are the local athletes. The people looked down upon because they are based in Naijaria and suffer the indignity of not having the privilege of an opportunity.

Guys go from academies in Naijaria to professional clubs because someone cared enough to look.

What we should be talking about is how to unearth talent that the system often overlooks. Not looking for cheap solutions like players who were born, nurtured, and trained overseas...

Personally, I am always happy for the kids who choose to play for other countries (country of birth) because it means it is an opportunity for another Naijarian who didn't have the luck of having options.
