Morocco vs CIV

Post by YUJAM »

Game started about 10 mins ago. The Ivorians have made several changes to their lineup. No Bailly, Aurier, Pepe or even Zaha. They've brought in some young replacements.

CIV's midfield is quite strong. But their D is not so good at dealing with set pieces.

It's been all CIV.

They score right at the end.

Should have had at least 2 more goals.

They will be very tough. They have a complete team.

They are a very strong side based.on what I've seen today. They have a very mobile midfield and some tricky players in attack.

IMO one of Senegal or CIV will win the AFCON.

I would like to add Nigeria in the mix, but I just cannot see that happening with those baskets in goal.

CIV just recruited this their new keeper who is the #1 for Angers , now in the French 2nd division.

GK was also CIV weak link, and they have now gone towards fixing that problem.

Morocco equalizes after some poor defending by the LB, Sylla.

Now we are starting to see weaknesses. That LB sub, Sylla, is a problem for them.

He is not a leftback.

CB by trade and was put there when theor leftback was subbed off.

CIV blew this match.

They totally dominated pretty much from start to finish, failed to score 3 or 4 more goals and then gave up a cheap one with 10 minutes left.

Sounds like Ngr vs Saudi to me.
Only we let them equalise with the last kick of the game.

Typical sub-Saharan national teams play:mod well with the ball till the finale third, then a rush of blood to the head and fire wildly. Give those chances to the Japans and Koreas of this world and they convert 90% of them.
