Guinea 4pts
Namibia 4pts
Probably Mauritania 3 pts, -1 GD

ONE PLACE LEFT.
CIV with a -3 GD needs a miracle.
Don’t forget that if either DRCongo or Tanzania win, they go through with 5 points or 4 points respectively.
That still knocks out CIV!,,

It’s currently 0-0, meaning DRC have 3 points with 0 GD which knocks out CIV.
Nope. DRC, Zambia all have 2 points
Only a draw eliminates CIV in the Zambia match. Regardless of whatever happens in Tanzania vDRC
Okay. So basically a win from either puts them in 2nd place, not third which will still remain up for grabs.

As of now, CIV survive as the last placed third place team. Boy, are they lucky!

i wanted them out. However, I can stomach them qualifying since they have to play Senegal. Lets hope they take Senegal out.

They will be led by Emerse Fae, one of Gasset's coaches, on an interim basis per the BBC
IN OUR CASE, THERE IS NO TIME. NO SERIOUS COACH WILL TAKE THIS JOB

Pasamu on Monday Feb 22nd 2010 post ANC- I will repeat again, the problem with our team was never ability or personnel or even tactics . It was confidence pure and simple confidence. Amodus team had been spat upon, anything they did was dismissed as insignificant To see the team going from playing brilliant football against Egypt in the first half of their ANC group game to the cautious fear laden play against Zambia was sad.

CIV will be dangerous. They have nothing to lose and have an unexpected chance at redemption. I know Senegal isn't too happy

Bros, they are the host and have won twice. Not a good for at all. Not saying they will win, but this is not ideal opponents this early at all

The interim coach is an ex international who played at the 2006 WC and multiple ANCs

I really feel like this has all the makings of a classic….

I was saying the same thing to some friends from CIV. An unexpected opportunity for redemption against the best african team currently. It won't be easy for Senegal. Gasset has been sacked and replaced by Emerse Fae. It's a good move.

I was the first to call it that CIV will qualify.

Watch them beat Senegal.

Aliou Cisse and his boys cannot be happy about this.

CIV also have a full 4 days to get their minds right and train for the match.

Hopefully Adingra and Haller would be back.

It is called 'luck.' Thus, CIV got lucky and dodged a bullet. Now, the next team they will play is in trouble, such a team better be careful, else CIV is sending them home.
