Keshi said that before the team arrived South Africa that he told skipper Joseph Yobo that the Eagles were going to win the Cup but the former Everton defender did not believe.

MD,

The Germans are attacking in numbers especially when they have the ball and when they lose it, they drop back quickly by either putting numbers in the middle or dropping back. Brazil is playing an up tempo game but they seem to be taking the ball directly to the Germans feeling they can beat them one on one and the Germans are stopping them on every play. If Brazil can spread the play and isolate a German defender or two in a one on one situation. The game is theirs. I like both teams but I want my lovely wives  from the samba land to win but they are not doing what they need to do.

Na lie. This is the best officiating I have seen all tournament long. Fifa got it right on this one.

Mi5, na German defense. See how quickly they smother the player with the ball. They give you no space at all. They will give a foul in less dangerous areas than let you in the Box or see the goal posts even. They defend in numbers and that's why no one has scored on them in this tourney from what I've heard. But for some reason I thought Korea did. don't have the time to research that now.

Oh shiite! Goal.. 2-0 That's it. The fat lady has sung. The hot dog is off the mustard. Brazil can still hold their head up high. Soccer is cruel sometimes. :(

Have u guys noticed that the opponent always has more possession than the Germans but they still end up wining the game. That is just soccer for you and Germans are technically sound. I hope Berti turns the Eagles to the kind of team.

They haven't conceded a single goal in the entire tournament.

The Canarinhas can hold their heads up high. They've come along way and dominated play for large chunks against the best Women's team in the world.

Well Germany are Champs once again.

Oh well. You can't lose if no one scores on you. Congrats to Germany. Brazil was team for his tourney though. I hope their FA tries to support the team from here on. They've had no support at all since inception. Imagine no ANC type (Gold cup) format for them, friendlies, or anything except get together and play Olympic and W/C. You have to commend them for their showing despite.

Bret, this is uncalled for. Totally uncalled for and not funny. Some of us have very very close families that are half Germans. Yours truly not exempt. I think the Germans were just solid defensively. No one is giving them props for their smothering defense. They defended in numbers. their recovery rate is amazing. Well conditioned and only played combination plays. They have a system and no one stands out as exceptional. So they will not miss a beat if anyone is left out.

Congrats to Germany. I think the Brazilians were a bit unlucky coupled with the Germans resolute defending.

The Brazilian performance, despite the lack of support will definitely inspire other teams. Two consecutive losses in major tournaments (Olympic and WC) is tough, but they will surely get there.

What dirty trick? I thought that was a fairly contested game.
