Re: 2012 AFRICAN SOCCER TOURNAMENT IN LOS ANGELES
The following teams need some players:
1. Nigeria - 3 to 4 players needed.
2. South Africa - 8 to 10 players needed.
I will likely be playing for South Africa (FYI).

Registration D-Day is tomorrow. I can give you some numbers to get yourself registered. As I said I am likely turning out for the South Africans. One cannot pay money and sit on the bench as will be the case with Nigeria, so my hard earned monies must be put to use.galoise wrote:Must u reside in Southern Cali to play for a team? Re: 2012 AFRICAN SOCCER TOURNAMENT IN LOS ANGELES
The day is over. My South African side lost to the LAPD on penalties.
The Nigerian team has been red hot. They defeated the Kenyans 5-0 and another team 6-0 before tying LAPD 0-0 ... they then defeated the Cameroonians on penalties.
The Nigeria - Cameroon game was one to see!!! They had good players like Dida, Tochukwu, Benoit (the Cameroonian who plays for Nigeria) and Kelly Amunike and a few others ... Cameroon was valiant, but at the end of the day Nigeria won.
The DJs were from Ghana and were spinning some good stuff.

The Semi-Finals and the Finals will be on the 15th at the Home Depot Center, Field 5.
Ghana vs. LAPD
Nigeria vs. (Some other team, I need info here).
There will be an AFTER PARTY after the game ... and attendees get tickets to the Chivas vs. San Jose Earthquakes game ...
I will be there for sure, it will be a FUN day ...
Ghana is featuring ex Kotoko defender Mutallab as well as a guy from their Olympic gold medal winning team.
Nigeria has Tochukwu Nwankwo, Dida, Benoit (the Cameroonian), Kelly Amunike and many others. They are coached by 'Baba' Aloma!!!
And yes ... MLS scouts will be on hand ...
