Considering how they were raided at the end of last season, losing several of their top stars AND their manager.
Quite frankly, I dont know how they do it. Must be the water in Southampton or something.
They have a brilliant academy and scouting system.

You must have missed the EPL the last season!!
Educate me oh great one. How did you come up with last season as your reference point :? ?
Southampton were also doing initial gra gra last season. At this point last season they were on 18 points 5th place -this season at 19 points 2nd place.

And last season Southampton finished two places ahead of Swansea. So I am not sure how they are like Swansea of last season.

But they are a very good football club. Every year they lose many players but they keep replenishing. This is a great football club I must say!!
I repeat my question How did you take my initial sentences to last season? Where in my sentence was I referring to Swansea of last season?

It depends on the depth of the team. I think they will eventually level to 6_8 position.

Every year a different team starts off with a threat to the top four/five & fades later on.

Every year, Assanal are on top of the table with zero game played because of alphabets. We know where they often end up. There are contenders like my beloved Chelsea, and there are pretenders like Southampton and Assanal

Their scouting is amazing. They bought pelle, tadic and mane for peanuts. And now imho have the best front line in the league. Top three signings of the season. All made by Southampton. Expect them to challenge for a cl spot.

Wrong on what count, that Swansea didnt race off some season ago and finally settled for mid table come season end or what?
Ok let me break it down for you. A couple of seasons ago, Swansea jumped out and raced off and by season end they were a mid table team(9th)I believe. See the 12-13 graph below. Hence my insistent I never said last season despite Opaklinzo drawing you into showing you ignorance of the topic at hand.

i notice that majority of people are very keen to downplay that part, the excuse is that Southampton started with 'easy' fixtures ...... well Van Gaal also had 'easy fixtures' but look where he is even after adding Di Maria and co.

Just wait and see people get a shock to their system

You know it takes a real man to admit when they were wrong. I won't begrudge you if you said you misread my initial line. You rather keep showing a higher level of ITK than admit a mistake. Oh well I did my civic duty of tutoring you on the errs of your ways in the hope of delivering you from the clutches of 'opaklitits'. Enjoy your ways bro. :thumb:
