Egypt and CIV both finished second in tough groups.

So it’s Spain vs CIV and Egypt vs Brazil in the QFs

Been watching highlights saw CIV vs Brazil and the Ivorians did very well to get a well earned draw.

Kudos to them both!

Unfortunately for them they are up against Spain and Brazil who are among the few top footballing nations that take Olympic football seriously. Will be a gigantic achievement if they can get past those two.

Yeah they both deserve a lot of credit fir scaling those tough groups. CIV will definitely suffer against Spain. But the Spaniards have struggled to score goals and they may just struggle to contain the speedy attacks of the Ivorians whose game plan should likely be a counter attacking one.

Egypt have conceded one goal so far so they may be able to defend well. But Brazil like Spain are just relentless. I just can’t envision of a way for the Egyptians to win but stranger things have happened

Bro, they're such a hot and cold team. Sometimes they pull off amazing upsets and amaze you and other times they're just there to fill space.

I can never get a read on them. They humiliated Egypt in Cairo but other times get destroyed by teams like Malawi.

Seeing the job Pitso has done with Al Ahly, I don't understand why he's not involved on some level with their coaching staff that sort of blows my mind. It's apparent that they have talent there but have zero idea how to utilize any of it at all.
