Wow. NFF really have to get this next hire VERY RIGHT. In my opinion, forget the foreign journeymen. I say ex international.

I'm hearing Pitso Mosimane and Amunike have been contacted to take over the team.

Would be very happy with amunike. Coached the junior teams and He found the likes of chukwueze and oshimhen.

May even go as far as bringing nwakali into the limelight.

Would be Similar situation with Southgate and England and that has brought them good results.

ROHR SACKED (RSTV)

Post by Purity »

Super Eagles Head Cpach, Gernot Rohr (68) has been SACKED following the Super Eagles dismal display in the World cup qualifiers despite securing a play-off berth per reports.

Unclear about Yobo

The German trainer has been in charge since August 2016 and led the team to a 3rd place in 2019 AFCON.

He could be paid as much as $500k in compensation.

More reports on his sack coming soon.

The decision was taken after a company associated with the senior National team of Nigeria agreed to pay the termination clause in the contract of the coach.

If true, it means now we can have a realistic discussion about the back up plan.

NFF ask Rohr to quit. Could be negotiating his departure.

Why not? If true, e pain me too. I did not want to be discussing his sack at this time. I wanted to have a little moan about his "playing style" while still saying that he should stay on. But recent games have sadly put me on the "Rohr out" side.

Damunk is correct that reality after Rohr's sack will not be easy. But we don't have much to lose...we were on course for disaster with him anyway.
