IF NIGERIA IS SERIOUS OUR SQUAD FOR UPCOMMING GAMES
Will look like this.
For 4 matches no less than 30 players a balanced squad with midfield.
No need to "rebuild" just cut the junks and solidify problem positions.
Goalkeepers (4)
Okoye
Uzoho
Another 2 keepers. No Akpeyi or Noble
Defenders (10)
Troost
Awaziem
Ajayi
Omeruo
Akpoguma
Aina
Samuel Osei
Bassey
Sanusi
Ebuehi
Midfield (8)
Iwobi
Ejaria
Aribo
Bonke
Onyeka
Onyedika
Nwobodo
Yusuf Alhassan
* Iwobi and Ejaria can also play as wide forwards
Forwards/Wingers (8)
Osimehn

Good squad but who,is Osei? Never heard of him. Olisah Ndah and Jamilu Collins should be in the team, I’d drop Lookman, and Osei for them.

I think you meant Bright Osayi- Samuel @ Fenerbache.. Good choice. I’d keep him and drop Aina, he hasn’t been playing ,inch and we need to see what Osayi can do. Nacho nko? He’s gotta be in there, Osihmen out Nacho in. Osihmen doesn’t need to show us nothing, we know he’s no 1.

Your irrational hate for Lookman knows no bounds that you will drop him for a defender ?EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 11:15 pm Good squad but who,is Osei? Never heard of him. Olisah Ndah and Jamilu Collins should be in the team, I’d drop Lookman, and Osei for them.

Weren’t you the one complaining about too many wingers? Now you’ve loaded the team with wingers, Dessers also plays as a wing forward .

LOL. If assists now define who should be invited then Musa who leads the SE in assists in the last 2-3 years should head the list of invitees. Not so?EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 12:05 am.vancity eagle wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 12:00 amYour irrational hate for Lookman knows no bounds that you will drop him for a defender ?EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 11:15 pm Good squad but who,is Osei? The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

Yes naw. But VE would rather we not play the games than invite Musa. Now I’m the one getting accused of having irrational fear of Lookman.

4 outright "wingers" in a squad of 30 is too many ? You didn't notice how many midfielders I listed ?EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 12:05 am.vancity eagle wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 12:00 amYour irrational hate for Lookman knows no bounds that you will drop him for a defender ?EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 11:15 pm Good squad but who,is Osei? Your head is not screwed on properly.
Dessers is in the team as a striker.

What kind of despicable LIE is that ?
Re: IF NIGERIA IS SERIOUS OUR SQUAD FOR UPCOMMING GAMES
No one has even asked who our coach will be for these games, Salisu? If so why's it taking NFF this long to give some clarity about the coaching situation?
Re: IF NIGERIA IS SERIOUS OUR SQUAD FOR UPCOMMING GAMES
I find it odd that you picked Ekong who has been warming the bench in a relegation bound Watford over Balogun who has largely been superb and consistent for a Rangers team on the rise...vancity eagle wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 10:49 pm Will look like this.

You must be a rocket scientist. How did you come up with this list of brand new players?
Wait a minute.... These are exactly the same average players we are already using. You are as serios as Nigeria already are.

He has no place in the team until he figures out what is his best position.
He is not good enough to build a team around him.
He is not good enough as a midfielder, or lone striker.
I dont fancy a 442 but that would be the only formation he would thrive in.

Better to look at younger options.
Maybe I'm being too harsh.

Yeah, Nacho has no place in the team but your glorified division 2 players do?vancity eagle wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 5:29 amHe has no place in the team until he figures out what is his best position.

I don’t know what your gripe against Nacho is (I know there has to be something) but anyone who’s ever played “set” knows that your contentions about Nacho are both nonsensical and laughable. All the critical things considered (goal scoring, ball retention, ball distribution, dead ball expertise), he is arguably our best football player right now.
I was somewhat amused to see that you’ve already moved on from Ejuke. How seriously do you really expect to be taken? The minute a new Nigerian name shows up on the roster of some average European club, you’re all over it. You’re like that snoop-dog who can’t resist picking up a chewed-up bone somebody threw away
Cheers.

I will add one more person: A. Amoo in the attacking midfield. That kid Amoo needs to be included in squad. He is capable of unlocking any stuborn defense.vancity eagle wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 10:49 pm Will look like this.
