Manchester United - News, Developments & Season
Re: Manchester United - News, Developments & Season
The odd thing is that I do not think Rabiot is a bad player (he is the only player that Man Utd have tried to sign this season who is half decent). Bad players do not get into the first 11 of the world champions. He is the right sort of player- being signed at the wrong time. Man Utd should have signed him 3 years ago when he was available for free from PSG, and much younger and more aggressive. His performance against Barcelona in PSG's 4-0 CL win was an eye opener. However, he now has a bad reputation due to the shenanigans of his agent/mum, and Man U are yet again paying a transfer fee for a player in his late 20s and in the final year of his contract.
Man Utd essentially swapped Pogba for Rabiot. They let Juventus have Pogba for free (twice), paid 90 million to get him back, let him leave for free a second time, and are about to sign Rabiot for 15 million.
Fees paid by Man Utd for Pogba and Rabiot: 105 million
Fees paid by Juventus for signing Pogba and Rabiot 3 times: 0.
Man Utd should have bought Neves and Tolisso this summer (esp as Tolisso was available for free and does not have the baggage of Arnautovic and Rabiot).

Actually, this is very very possible. You dont need to be a great player to play for a coach who loves you or with whom you have a personal relationship. Afterall, Moussa Sissoko was getting into the same 11.wiseone wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 3:36 pm The odd thing is that I do not think Rabiot is a bad player (he is the only player that Man Utd have tried to sign this season who is half decent). By the way, the racist Arnautovic that you guys did not want performed significantly better than Rabiot in the same league last year -- significantly better!
As for Pogba, he is one of those shinny shinny trinkets without value. This guy was sooooo average, even below average over the last 5 years and for some reason, people still consider him world class. I am soo confused about this. Hell, 2 years ago, he didnt play for like 8 months and if i remember correctly, he wasnt injured for most of that.
Come to think of it, United's biggest problem is (1) the fans -- when you have retarrddss like Marko; and (2) the class of 92. These 2 groups of people are completely to blame for all the problems your club has. The Gazers have invested more than 500m on players alone.... lets look to the two cunnts who have actually destroyed the club, taken out and given nothing -- the fans and the class of 92. Tufiakwa!

Leverage buyout. Huge loan for acquisition with the debt leveraged against the club’s assets. If rumour in financial circles is to be believed, the debt at acquisition is much the same today. Player acquisitions financed by revenue generated by the club. The Glazer’s have taken out but not put much in (in football terms). Ruthless capitalism.
Leverage buyouts are in the dock and likely to be sentenced to exiles as far as Premier League ownership is concerned. The ghost of Man United will be a lasting legacy.

Apparently PSG spoke to Rashford's representatives about a transfer.

I have very serious doubts about this story, it must be Rashford's agent deliberately leaking this.wiseone wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 12:07 am Apparently PSG spoke to Rashford's representatives about a transfer.

I can't see why PSG would want Rashford, what for, they have a very packed forward line up.
And Rashford is very overrated by the British media, i don't think anyone outside UK rates him highly

United now linked with Sasa Kaladjzic and Effin Anybodykov. Next stop, Shane Long.

We need a brand new team. No manager can save these players. Two stupid goals.

After wining 3 trophies, we were told Mourinho was supposed to do more. It is no longer the coach's fault?

2 goal lead is not safe. Brentford need to score more goals.
