It won't change. That said, based on the first half, absent any silly errors, this team should - hopefully - be able to see out a win & WC qualification today.

Only positive mark I'll give this team is the defence and the GK...everything else is just subpar at best

I tell ya.
Exasperating to watch. :glare:
The underrated art of using pass and move 5yd sideways and back passes in central midfield to control games is not valued by our coaches in Nigeria.
At all at all.

Ball retention like defending is a mindset. These guys just wan play am upfront and hope and pray someone is there.
Let them just Q for the WYC , we'll worry about ball retention later. Another DNQ will be disastrous.
I agree. But what I am watching nobe yam at all.

I mean some rudimentary "keep-it-simple" type of ball. I can see why Naijarians no too like Mikel Obi type of ball. "See team mate, pass am ball, present yasef to receive pass, get ball, pass am... and interchange between short passes to long passes."

Na di same issue with our women. We no fit hold ball.

Their game is so one directional with little to no appreciation on using the entire pitch to spread the opposition out and control the game especially when you are in front and arguably have better skilled players.

Very annoying.
Tension bro. The guys know this is their one big chance to greatness, World Cup qualification. They are using every fibre in their body and little sense. Hope they make it through.

Agreed. But that is where coaching and calmer heads should prevail.

You all smoke weed before watching games. This is the best this team has played so far, yet reading this thread you would think we are the worst team on the planet.

Honestly I wouldn't mind him getting into the senior team right now, he has been very solid and commands his line well

Defensively we are allowing to many easy shots on target inside our box. This needs to be sorted.
