Nigeria v Guinea-Bissau on US TV
Bein Sports is showing the Comoros, Mauritania , and Sudan matches but in their infinite wisdom, are not broadcasting the Nigeria match which involves the most populous country in Africa, and which will give them their biggest TV audience.
Re: Nigeria v Guinea-Bissau on US TV
The rights probably cost more than they are willing to pay. The other teams you mentioned will be cheap program fillers. It's a myth that a significant number of Nigerians in America are willing to pay for Bein sports to watch the SE.
Bushboy's bushmen : 1.Isaac Success 2. Terem Moffi 3. Victor Boniface 4. Samuel Omorodion. 5. Samson Tijani. 6. Rafiu Durosinmi.

They do not have to pay for BeIN simply to watch Nigeria! BeIN also shows other sports/matches not involving Nigeria.
What is the point of getting matches involving Comoros and Mauritania that will attract perhaps 10% of the viewing audience that a Nigeria match will? Plus Nigeria is one of the few African football nations that non-Africans will make out time to watch.

I complained about this a while ago. It seems Bein will not show our home matches.
They are showing the return leg on Monday.

Re: Nigeria v Guinea-Bissau on US TV
You're not understanding me. Bein business model is to make a profit. They have all the analytics. They have shown Naija games many times before. They have the data on the cost-benefit analysis and have clearly decided it is not worth it to pay for the games. They prefer to fill the air time with much cheaper options. We like to think Naija is soccer crazy, but it's a myth. Every friendly we play in England or the USA, we see empty seats galore. Nobody is rushing to pay for Bein to watch the SE. That is obvious.wiseone wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 1:27 am They do not have to pay for BeIN simply to watch Nigeria! BeIN also shows other sports/matches not involving Nigeria.

Does ANYONE show Nigeria NT games (apart from perhaps SS)?
NTA? AIT? ChannelsTV?
It probably costs more than it’s worth.

Foreign broadcasters often rely on the infrastructure of local broadcasters on ground, and for world-class football coverage (multiple camera angles, replay facilities, graphics, etc.), not sure these are adequately available in Nigeria.

...sadly Nigeria is viewed as a pariah.
It does matter how many Nigerians reside in the US or watching their station.
The country's governing image is soiled in the world.
Giant of Africa moniker is no more.

Broadcast facilities in those nations are not prioritized towards covering the president or governor opening an envelope or taking a dump…

If “Nigeria” is viewed as a pariah…
It’s because NIGERIANS are viewed as pariahs.
Folks delude themselves if they think both are not inextricably-linked.

Bein is something else. They showed today's game away at GB. However, they lost the footage for the final 10 minutes of the game.
