Do you know her before? Yes she is 19. Have played from U17 to U20 to this team. Go and check her history.

But this was like watching pepper grow.

Kudos though to the Skippa. Abiodun was a tigress in that midfield. Poor girl got sent off. Payne was very creative, but her efforts were in vain. Alozie pissed me off no end. Did crazy sh1t all day. Our decision making in and around the box a problem.

VAR, unfortunately, can’t serve it’s intended purpose when you have entrenched latent bias. Overall, the officiating wasn’t too bad but their were some glaringly bad calls, one of which should have resulted in a Canadian player being sent off. That sequence wasn’t even reviewed and that’s because of the latent bias I spoke of earlier. We are going to have to get better and stronger on the ball to overcome that handicap❗️

Cheers.

Oshoala is basking on her stardom tax, plays her hearts out for Barcelona but hardly puts in a shift when she dons the GWG.

I don't know what Ordega added to the lineup.

And then you have Super-Z who is yet to be Super for the Falcons in a very long time.

Kudos to Goalie. Defenders and Midfielders especially Abiodun.

Does she miss one or two games?
1 game from what I gathered
Lets hope so but it needs to be clarified because I thought it is 2 with 2 yellows leading to one game suspension.

I believe a straight red is 2 games. Two yellows will be a 1 game suspension....We need a clarification on how many game(s) suspension results here.
Not according to FIFA rules. Red misses a game but the rules committee has option to increase it. A red for dissent is automatically a 2 game suspension though.

I was surprised Ordega started but it may be because of Ajibade's suspension for this game.

That will be good because this player is the engine room for us.

Perhaps not-so-big a miss…
Since the usual starter Ayinde will be back.

But Deborah had a heluva game tonight. :thumb:

Ayinde would’ve started in place of her in this game if it wasn’t for the suspension but I have a feeling Randy would’ve needed all three midfielders against Australia.

Keep telling you folks that Asisat will never be “super” for the Falcons…
If we persist with this tactic of isolating her upfront and then punting it in hope she’ll outrun everyone.

Every single time the ball managed to come to her, she was all alone…
Even on that scoring chance, after the Canadian GK whiffed, there was no SF in the box for Asisat to cross to.

Gotti,

I liked her play today. Unlike in the past when she will get the ball and just run with it. Today, she played with her team mates. That is a HUGE change. Today was a difficult day because we were unpossessed and there were few chances not just for her but everyone.
