Looking like Chukwueze starts ahead of Simon.

Nwabali;
Ajayi,
Troost-Ekong,
Bassey;
Aina,
Zaidu,
Onyeka,
Iwobi;

makes you wonder if the coach selected his team.
Re: Nigeria vs CIV (2pm CT, 9pm Nigerian time )
It is well. If Simon has to come in for Chukwueze against tired Ivorian defenders that could work well

We can’t be this stupid. I swear if I hear that Peseiro didn’t select this lineup, win or lose then we are truly a hopeless nation. Chukwueze is the guy you bring in the 8oth minutes to run at tired defenders.

Re: Nigeria vs CIV (2pm CT, 9pm Nigerian time )
Zaidu is very key to the way NIgeria plays. He drives our attack from the left, no wonder we have the opportunity for misses chances or messing up some clear cut assist. OLa Aina, though he has been great doesnt get to that scoring position or into the attack as often as Zaidu.
Another strong point to Zaidu is he's ability to track back on high speed to defend. NO wonder he's a starter in a world class team like Porto (When he is healthy).

We’ve averaged the same number of goal scores with and without Zaidu. As far as Zaidu tracking back, you must not have been reading other people’s post.chief nfachairman wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 5:52 pm

Not surprised at the Chukwueze selection. He was good in his cameo last game. Simon can always come in later
