Ever since Brazil were spanked 7-1 at home by Germany, their Euro worship(which is normally very high in all aspects of their society but not so much in football) has gone off the charts. It has now completely bled into their football. Imagine a whole Brazil hiring Carlo Ancelotti, a non-Brazilian, as coach of the Selecao!

There is context here too. Brazil has not beaten a European team in the knockout stages of the World Cup since June 2002, over 20 years ago! So there you have it. They don't think their style is good enough anymore against the European big boys.

Funny you mention Arrigo Sacchi. Brazil won the 1994 World Cup playing like classical Italy while being managed by Carlos Alberto Parreira, a Portuguese-speaking Arrigo Sacchi.

Their 2002 team was an EA Sports FIFA Playstation team. Unstoppable. Even our very own txj could have managed them to World Cup glory

Roman General, if you are talking of the Brazil of Pele, Gragrarincha , Zagalo, Tostao, Rivelino, Jairzinho, Gerson, and evin plus including Zico, Socrates, Falcao, and Eder, I no gree oh. Those bobos finished very, very well from every angus.
