lol. why? you expect them to dominate? they are playing Madrid and not Chelsea :D :taunt:

I knew it wouldn't take long. This is who Chelsea should be after
  Clubs are watching this tournament and their ear is standing!

Wesley shouldnt make any rushed decision sha. He should be patient. Better clubs will come.
Brighton is a solid club. Can you remember the last time they sold a player for a loss or cut their losses with a player? Not everyone can jump right in at Real Madrid or Barca and contribute right away. 2 years at Brighton & he’ll be worth 2-3 times what he was purchased for, and such transfer often comes with a sizable wage increase.

Perhaps, but Brighton is a small tin pot club. Much smaller than Flamengo, so its a step back - in terms of that. Barca is in the market for a RB actually and are trying to convince Monaco to part with Vanderson. Juve, is also in search of one.

Personally, I dont think MOST players should be making a move in June. Its too early. This is a life changing decision. Take your time.

Oh! I forgot about City! They are definitely in the market for a RWB, with Nunes still playing that role for them. Phew! If they get him and have Ait Nouri on the left, that will be an exciting duo

I know that Flamengo has a huge fan base, but can they match whatever Brighton will offer him in wages? I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking.

I get your point but it comes with its own risk. I feel like if the right club comes along with the right sporting vision and wages (including release clause), he should take it. The more he does well in this tournament, the more his value skyrockets. These European clubs ain’t trying to overspend which means he goes nowhere. If he tore his ACL or Achilles then no one touches him.

Atletico - Botafogo, reminiscent of an Argentina vs Brazil grudge match. Meaty tackles going in. Gauchos! This is simmering nicely. The HNIC (Head Nutcase in Charge), Simeone growing all the more animated on the sidelines. He’ll be steaming in before the games up.

You guys need to stop throwing stats around willy nilly.
The Brazil league, Brasileirão started on March 29, 2025.
I hope you know what that means?

Yes, we do. It means that with just 2 months of league play, most of them have not reached their peak at all. On the other hand, the Europeans are fully at their peak, after playing for much longer and sharpening their tactics.

Fantastic goal by Suarez.

But let me make this clear, if an 80 year old like Suarez scores that goal againt me, I will retire immediately from football. Every single Palmeiras defender must retire tonight! Good thing is that if the useless Porto score one more goal, Palmeiras is eliminated. That is best.

Ahly missing or misplaying some clear cut chances. I get the feeling they will regret all these misses

Both. People look down on African CL wrongly and people overrate the Portuguese League. 70% of the teams are below average-to-very poor. Some of their players for sh1t teams like Farense, Arouca and Estoril make as low as 1K euros a week.

CAF CL is poor. The level of competition in Africa is low thats why an average team like Al Ahly wins all the time. West african club football has declined exponentially and that is a major reason why.

Al Ahly Is going home because their finishing is very poor. With that said, they will beat the mess out of our local clubs and their players are better compared to NPFL players. Go figure! This is why I roll my eyes when we invite the likes of Papa Murphy Daniels. Our best players are in Europe and in some academies.
