Manchester United set to make £5.4m loss on Bebe as striker farmed out to Besiktas
By CHRIS WHEELER and SAMI MOKBEL
Manchester United have off-loaded £7.4million flop Bebe to Turkish club Besiktas on a season-long loan with a view to a £2m permanent move.
United shocked the football world last summer by agreeing to meet the release clause in Bebe's new contract at Vitoria de Guimaraes in Portugal just five weeks after he had signed from Estrela da Amadora.
The winger had only played third division football and was available for £125,000 from his old club just months earlier.
Loan move: Bebe has struggled to break into the United side
But the 20-year-old, who grew up in a homeless shelter outside Lisbon, spent most of the season in United's reserves.
His last first-team appearance came against non-League Crawley in the FA Cup in February.
With Ashley Young set to give United more options out wide, Bebe has been allowed to go out on loan but it seems unlikely he will play for the club again.

Must be nice to have money to waste......first Barcelonized, now Queirozed...

"How can someone qualify his country for the World Cup and then, because he lost a match, everyone is saying they should sack him. Please allow the man to do his work. Nobody is perfect, but if someone can qualify his country for the World Cup, then he deserves some respect. I even heard that it is the second time he has qualified Nigeria for the World Cup. That is huge". - French legend Alain Giresse on Nigeria's Shuaibu Amodu, 2010

Is there not a thread to merge all these new transfer reports

In demand: Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez
In demand: Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez
Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson is understood to have made a personal call to Udinese's Alexis Sanchez to persuade him to join United ahead of Barcelona.
The Chile forward is keen on playing in Spain but Barca are struggling to match Udinese's £30m valuation with possible makeweight Bojan Krkic keen on joining Roma if he has to leave.
And Arsenal are risking a fresh row with Barca by stepping up their efforts to sign 17-year-old wonderkid Gerard Deulofeu.
Sportsmail has learned Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley was in Switzerland this month to watch the talented forward during Spain's Under 19 European Championship qualifying campaign.
His spying mission on Deulofeu, who has been likened to Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho, was a key step in Arsenal's plan to sign him before his 18th birthday next March.
Footballers in Spain are not permitted to sign professional contracts until they are 18 - a rule Arsenal used in 2003 to pluck Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona when he was 16.
Last month, Hector Bellerin and Jon Miquel Toral Harper, both 16, joined the Gunners from Barca's academy.

I want to laff, but I cant because whatever they lost on Bebe they gained on Chicharito. I cant say the same for Vela, Denilson, and other waste of space at Arsenal.
Never enter into a quarrel with an id!ot, lest he drag you down to his level and then beat you up with experience.

Slowly, the coffee's brew brownian motions towards nostrils far and wide revealing that dark con of fan, Wengerism, for what its true colours. Said it 6 years ago and six years into the five year plan, "we will be strong, we will challenge", all the while season ticket prices rise like the hot air balloon.

On-loan Manchester United flop Bebe is one of three players told to train away from the Besiktas first-team squad by coach Tayfur Havutcu after issues with their private lives.

Bebe: Signed from Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes for a reported fee of £7.4 million
Havutcu replaced former coach Carlos Carvalhal in April and has sought to make his mark on the team after a 2-0 loss to Istanbul rivals Galatasaray at the weekend.
Bebe, along with Sidnei and Julio Alves, has borne the brunt with a statement on the club's website insisting that the trio were excluded from squad training due to "a lack of discipline and issues with their personal lives".
The club have an important Super Liga Championship play-off fixture against Trabzonspor this weekend, but Bebe and company are unlikely to be involved.

Last I heard of Bebe, his transfer to Manure from his Portuguese club was being probed by Portuguese Police.
