Perhaps this explains the national team invitation?
Could you elaborate

NT invitation, and thus the tag 'Nigerian international' enhances marketability of a player.

We saw it with:

Rabui Ibrahim
Raheem Lawal

These are all fringe FB players

BTW I'm not against using NT to enhance the transfer of players. It just needs to be used for the right players and should be transparent.
For instance, I believe we should use it to support Osaze.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Yes it is!

But he has taken his chances very, very well...

I expect him to move to Russia or Ukraine soon.

Well, Keshi must stop mixing business with our football pleasure then.

He will follow Sunday Mba there. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

How many times do I have to tell you that it will be very difficult in the current climate for African players to join the most elite clubs.

Expect more Russian and Turkish based players. Even the EPL that use to want Africans has become a bit more xenophobic as the English born have now been recognized as only being good enough for the lower level teams so the spots that may have gone to African born players are drying up. :rotf:

In the absence of Emenike plus Anichebe's self imposed exile, Keshi needs to test alternative target men. Only coach knows what type of player he's looking for in that role or else how does one explain his infatuation with Ameobi. Nwofor fit the description and fortunately for him (Nwofor) scored a brace on debut. It works for some and not for others but only coach knows his criteria for each role.
