Remy is okay, nothing spectacular. Arsenal need an above average striker like Bergkamp, Henry, RVP, Anelka and Kanu. Eto on his day, is an above average striker. He played as the main striker for Barca, Inter, now Chelsea. Signing Eto as a free transfer is a no brainer. He can mentor Yaya Sanago and Akpom for 2 years. We can still go out and sign another prospect.

We shouldnt be buying any player just because we dont want others to buy them. How many of such deals can we stop? We should only buy the players that we need, and Cesc right now is not someone we need. Ramsey is a better option and we are not going to move Ozil on for him. Cesc made his choice to leave Arsenal, so I wish him good luck with his future clubs. We should focus on those who want to be with us. Bring in Joel Campbell, buy Remy & Aurier, buy a CM that can actually defend and is also quick, get a decent PL keeper and we will be set to challenge again next season.

We have other areas of need as you have outlined.
