Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
Any comments about Jack Wilshere headbutting Fellaini and not being sent off the Arsenal v Man Utd game at the weekend? Or Rooney being flagged offside when he was actually 3-4 feet onside? Imagine what would happen if Fellaini heabutted Wilshere and was not sent off...ahem...

nope, didnt happen, as Wenger would say - "didnt see the incidents"wiseone wrote:Any comments about Jack Wilshere headbutting Fellaini and not being sent off the Arsenal v Man Utd game at the weekend? All that matters is the injustice suffered by Arsenal by losing to such a dismal team which created zero chances all game, and Felliani's hair was miles off-side for that 1st flukey own-goal
injury time was supposed to be 15 minutes as well
Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
8 minutes of injury time were played in that game. Can you imagine all the complaints of "Fergie time" that would have followed had the officials allowed 8 minutes of injury time in a game when Man Utd were losing and chasing for an equaliser.

Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
Man U were the better team period....they were smarter enough to bury their chances in an away game....any other "What if" scenarios are for the fairies

Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
The Liverpool -v- Southampton game: Southampton denied a clear penalty (and consequential red card for Joe Allen) for a blatant foul in the box, then the Liverpool GK Mignolet jumps outside the area and stops a goalbound shot with his hand outside the box, AND Lovren blatantly handled in his own penalty area. Not one of those decisions went against Liverpool.
If Man Utd got refereeing decisions like that at OT, World War 3 would commence on this forum.

Leicester were denied two blatant penalties last night away at Man City. The first one occurred when the score was 0-0 and the second when it was 0-1. If a team came to Old Trafford and was denied two blatant penalties like that, we would never hear the end of the conspiracy theories.

You saw the blatant penalty that was not awarded to Newcastle Utd last night, right?wiseone wrote:Leicester were denied two blatant penalties last night away at Man City. yes, and everyone is only making noise about that incident and ignoring Leicester's 2 penalty shouts.Blukyt wrote:You saw the blatant penalty that was not awarded to Newcastle Utd last night, right?wiseone wrote:Leicester were denied two blatant penalties last night away at Man City. i was actually shocked that the decision went our way, something very rare
Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
...and you demonstrate the anti-Man Utd bias aptly. Your eyes were lasered in on the decision that went in Man Utd's favour, while ignoring two more event blatantly bad decisions occurring in the Man City game; in the same city that Man Utd's ground is in, on the same day.

Well I watched the Utd game, and not the City game so I can't speak on that.wiseone wrote:...and you demonstrate the anti-Man Utd bias aptly. Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
The bottom line is that English referees are amongst the most inept and corrupt refs I have ever seen, and they seem to begetting worse with each season. I am watching the Liverpool vrs Leicester game and the ref crew should Commit harikari for their disgustingly corrupt performance in that game.

Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
The refereeing in that game was scandalous. Anything less than a public apology by the officials to Leicester City will not suffice. The ball hit Leicester captain Wes Morgan in the FACE and the ref penalised him for handball and awarded Liverpool a penalty. Then did it aain and gave Liverpool another dodgy penalty. It was disgraceful.charlie wrote:The bottom line is that English referees are amongst the most inept and corrupt refs I have ever seen, and they seem to begetting worse with each season. If Wayne Rooney (or any Man Utd player) got away with the stuff that Diego Costa and Chelsea layers routinely get away with, we would never hear the end of the conspiracy theories.
How Diego Costa stayed on the pitch throughout the second PSG game is one of the great wonders of the modern era. Reckless fouls, head-butting an opponent, pushing an opponent to the floor (when he was ALREADY on a yellow!)...and yet no red card for him. At times I thought the ref would refuse to show him a red card even if he pulled out an AK47 and started shooting PSG players!
Chelsea players totally conned the referee into giving an undeserved red card to Zlatan. If anything Oscar fouled Zlatan by going in recklessly with his studs up. Chelsea players are experts at inciting the ref to give red cards to opponents.
A few weeks ago Chelsea players "bought" a red card for Gareth Barry. As soon as he fouled Willian all of the Chelsea players piled in, surrounded and harassed the referee (waving imaginary cards at the ref) to make the challenge look really worse than it was and to pressure the referee into getting his cards out. Azpiliuceta ran 50+ yards from left back to confront the ref and demand a red card. Fabregas reacted with horror as if Barry had shot Willian with an AK47 (rather than tripped him). Most Chelsea outfield players got involved too. Net result = Everton reduced to 10 men, lost concentration because of the melee involving the ref and the red card, and Chelsea scored the winner in the last minute.
The reason why the whole team does it is because it is a deliberate team tactic/instruction from the coach.

...and yesterday, how did Liverpool not finish the game with 8 men? Apart from the Gerrard red card, Skrtel should have been sent off for that horror leg breaker stamp on De Gea, and Balotelli should have been sent off for grabbing Smalling and pulling him into the advertising boards (when already on a yellow card), and then trying to confront him again afterwards. Luckily for him, the Liverpool fans in that stand were more cool headed than he is and actually held him back from going back to confront Smalling again.
Isn't Anfield the same stadium where earlier this season, Raheem Sterling slapped Swansea's Federico Fernandez in the face while standing 6 inches away from the linesman, and escaped punishment (no red or yellow card, not even a foul was awarded against Liverpool):

Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
How did Kompany NOT get a red card for that leg breaker horror tackle on poor Daley Blind. That was career ending stuff. Kompany went over the ball stud up on Blind's ankle and sent Blind four feet into the air. Horror tackle:

Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
...and of course, no one "saw" the foul by Terry on Falcao that led to Chelsea's only (and decisive winning) goal against Man Utd this weekend...
Re: Refs Unfair to Man Utd - SAF
For all the talk of Fellaini's (admittedly deserved) red card against Hull, strangely no one commented on Hull's Abel Hernandez getting away with punching Phil Jones in the stomach. It went totally unpunished.
[/video]
I can just imagine what the reaction would be if Rooney had punched a Hull defender in the stomach and got away with it.

Any comments about the Wayne Rooney goal that was incorrectly disallowed for offside last weekend? That bad decision cost Man Utd a win against Newcastle.
