Yes, he is still eligible and has been making efforts towards playing for Nigeria but he is receiving the cold shoulder treatment because of his initial negative attitude towards playing for Nigeria when he was approached by Oliseh.
I am happy

The more the merrier...guys he is a good young player and he balled today!!
Plus, we need to teach him how to pronounce his name!

How the seasons change. A few years back, this lad considered the superior to Raheem Sterling and very much a part of the Liverpudlian Jacobite revolution. Needless to say, said revolution will not be televised, googlised, snapchatted or scrawled on papyrus. And Ibe, from a position of fictional prominence in this chimerical resurrection, to one of actual factual obsolescence. A bitter and yet brilliant lesson. Ibe will hopefully rise to champion the Cherries and the experience, the staunch curriculum of a full blooded relegation dogfight will harden his hide and have his chest hirsute.
Re: Is Jordan Ibe still elegible for SE?
Ibe's drop out of prominence is baffling.
How they got it so wrong, I can't understand.
Its a real headfvck.

R1e: Is Jordan Ibe still elegible for SE?
Until he can pronounce his name he is not eligible.
2 of the finest indigenous coaches Nigeria ever had lost in a space of 4 days. Dear Lord, is this a sign that you are taking away from us what we failed to appreciate? I pray for forgiveness of our sins. I pray for the humility to recognize our wrongs and the humbleness and wisdom to right our ways.

... and let me add, anybody; with Nigerian blood, who pompously turned us down when approached initially should NOT be eligible to play for Nigeria - ever. Its a Goal wrote:Until he can pronounce his name he is not eligible.

^For many an England born, the childhood perception of Africa is such that it's not cool to be African. The schools will never teach any more than the whitewashed history, t'is for the parent to sow seeds of the ancestral and cultural heritage in the gardens of youth and water them accordingly.
How was he taught to pronounce his name in infancy? What does he know of its meaning and lineage? A culturally deficient child is not only ignorant but oft the produce of a seed unwatered.
Whether it's Aiybe, Aiibe or Eyeb, what's for sure...Jerome gets more time than Brandon and at the airport they'll search all through (his) bag and tell (him) that's it's random

Honestly the fact that he can't pronounce his own name is still surprising to me
