You mean like how Kevin Prince Boateng only showed up for World Cups?

Nigeria does not really need Lookman, but if the boy has any smarts, he will know that Nigeria is his only option for a decent international career, at least until England is ready to start 9 'African' players.

we are so deep with wide players now that this really is no big deal.

We still have Bazee up and comming getting playing time. I am not at all worried.

This guy probably wouldn't even get much playing time with Nigeria, so his chances for England are even that much slimmer. If he thinks he will get much time playing with England he is deluding himself.

Like others said we are stacked out wide, we need midfielders and should make a top priority of Ejaria and Eze, as well as other cB's.

IF LOOKMAN GOES BACK TO ENGLAND...

...I kind of welcome it. As I've said before, Nigeria's effort should be focused on developing local talent, not outsourcing the responsibility to foreign countries. Foreign born Nigerians are more than welcome but they should only be used if they show a genuine interest and have the ability. Using Nigeria as a fallback or to generate interest in their first choice is not something Nigeria should be part of. This would not happen, or happen only rarely, if Nigeria takes the development responsibility seriously.

Pity, the guy is a baller. I'd rate only Kalu ahead of him at the mo. England will use and discard him.

Is he even good enough to make the SE squad with Musa, Kalu, Onyekuru, Success etc ahead of him in the queue?

Same was said about Ameobi earlier in his career, he ended up playing in a WC for us. Never over until England actually cap him at senior level. Lets see how it goes.

Ameobi turned down Nigeria despite England having no use for him but Nigeria for some reason gave that washed up reject a chance,Lookman just like Ameobi wants England but may stand a chance if they shelve after they cap him that's between him and England,Nigeria shouldn't bow down to these kids and their agents that use Nigeria as a bargaining chip to play for England!

It is amazing what a change of environment can do for a player. I remember Lookman looking really raw at Fulham, Everton, and Leicester. Who can forget his disastrous attempt at a Panenka penalty for Fulham in the 98th minute with his team losing and facing relegation. He rightly gor criticised for a lack of good judgment.

He has really flourished after moving to a new league that prioritises technical ability. Well done to him.

Uncle why pick on our African Mino Raiola? Did you not see the countless people on this thread that got their Lookman take wrong. One mugu even said he’s half the player that Samuel Kalu is.

We were all wrong about Lookman. The beauty of all this is he has proven us wroong. I will humbly admit i was wrong then even tho he was going thru some rough patches...unlike 419Naija who is always wrong 100% of the time and will never admit he is wrong aka a dumb@ss.
