Senegal needs to play smart. No need to force anything
No need to get involved in any aggie baggie.
Stay compact and wait for the counters...

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.
We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

i remember that thread, 'African teams can't score. i fear for them at the world cup', something of that nature.Bigpokey24 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:56 pmso what you say , i do recall how you vex well well during AFCONScipio Africanus wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:51 pm Whatever happens in this game, CAF teams have scored a record haul of goals at this stage in this WC (14 goals!)

Re: [WC 2022] ECUADOR 0 SENEGAL 1 (Sarr)
it should have been 3 nil up for Senegal except wasteful finishing! the game is far from over! if Ecuador scores, its game on, Senegal need to finish this off! if the result stays this way, then they will likely meet winners of group B- England who have never lost to an African team in competitive games!
So angry Nigeria got kicked out of the world cup once again, i nearly told my wife that i caught my girlfriend with another man today!

Let's admit it, Senegal is above Ecuador.

They all listened to me except Tunisia who are bringing down the average as usual with 0.00 goals scored. You must be a Tunisia supporter. So, you are insulting and berating me because you have nothing against me? What will do then, when you actually do have something against me?joplass wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:43 pmThat is the immaturity on this board. Most answers to others start with an insult or something to ridicule someone. If I did not belong to multiple forums I would have thought this is the norm.Bigpokey24 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:34 pmi have played ball, so this comment makes no senseTonyTheTigerKiller wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:18 pmBP, I can tell you’ve never kicked a ball in your entire life. It’s not as easy as you think
Cheers.
Nothing against Tony, but the answer could have been "not easy to get the shot right while running and the ball moving"
There isn’t a damn thing wrong with what I said because anyone who’s actually played ball knows that putting the ball in the back of the net can be the most difficult thing in the world. Bigpokey doesn’t appear to know that
Cheers.

I would wait for the end of the game to type that. In fact I will happily join you to type it then.

Re: [WC 2022] ECUADOR 0 SENEGAL 1 (Sarr)
Why do we always assume 3 opportunities missed is 3 goals missed? Even the best teams pluff most of their chances, a 30% conversion rate is not high but it’s just about average so I don’t see where u get the 3 goals from. The defenders are not there for autographs.marko wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:59 pm it should have been 3 nil up for Senegal except wasteful finishing! the game is far from over! if Ecuador scores, its game on, Senegal need to finish this off! if the result stays this way, then they will likely meet winners of group B- England who have never lost to an African team in competitive games!

If Senegal win this game it will be the first time a CAF team has beaten a CONMEBOL team at the WC since Cameroon beat Argentina in WC 1990, 32 years ago

I guess we are still doing morla victories. Other confederations are looking to win the trophy, our fans are looking to "have scored a record haul of goals at this stage."Scipio Africanus wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:51 pm Whatever happens in this game, CAF teams have scored a record haul of goals at this stage in this WC (14 goals!)
