It could have been 3 as a goal was chalked off by VAR inches offside. They also missed a breakaway similar to Lookman.

Mali hasn't really played better than us, just more composed finishing.
The Osimhen you guys hype to high heavens missed two sitters as well. Mali have always been a very entertaining team anyway but if you take out the Uzoho factor in our team, I'll fancy our chances against Mali if we meet them
If you ask me Osimehn has been underwhelming in a SE jersey for quite a while.

His main contribution is his pressing.
Mali toying with them.

3-1 now.

Good goal called back and few good chances missed. It could easily be 5-1 or 6-1.

Mali is one very scary team I won't lie, how they haven't won an AFCON yet is baffling. They've already produced exciting teams

Mali had 8 shots with 5 on target

We had 15 shots with 5 on target

Mali scored 3 goals and should have had more, we scored ONLY 2 goals.

To be honest both Nigeria and Mali toyed with Saudi Arabia. Wasn't much difference in terms of play.

They just converted their chances.

Also Mali were missing almost half their starters while we paraded a full team minus Aina/Samuel.

Both teams should have beat Saudi like 5-1, perhaps even more.
