How we now approach the game against Benin republic

Post by Tobi17 »

That's a MUST WIN game made even more complicated by the fact that a seasoned and cunning tactician in Rohr who has a major grudge against Nigeria is whose team we will be facing. So you can expect how emotionally charged that encounter will be.

Who gets dropped and who makes your starting XI ? Benin republic unlike South Africa will punish us if they get anywhere close to the chances South Africa had and fluffed. Also remember they play in a pitch and atmosphere that is as good as home for them.

For the lord of God and country, this is where we have to BEG the likes of Lookman, Chukwueze, Bashiru (if fit) and Iwobi to seriously give their all that day. It's make or break guys, we have die on the pitch that day.

I said it before the SA game. With the players we have in camp, we had no reason playing 4-3-3.
A 3-5-2 formation will get us scoring. Just pair Lookman with any of the strikers upfront.
Awaziem/Taminu, Ajayi and Bassey as back 3.

Nwabali
Taminu Ajayi Bassey
Chukwueze Ndidi Iwobi Bashiru Osayi
Boniface Lookman

Easy win.
I am just and Ordinary guy being used by an extraordinary God.

Nwabali

Bashiru, Ndidi, Iwobi
Chukwuze, Onauchu, Lookman

If Boniface is fit. Will play Boniface instead of Onauchu.
Winners do it the right way.

I've always suspected you to be a mole who wants to sabotage Nigerian football with your baffling takes, but you just pretty much made the job easier for me. No sane person will start Onuachu in a must win game after the eyesore we watched him display today.

I mean a 1-0 win isn't particularly spanking but I get your point.

After a bit more thought. I would play a 3-5-2 and go with this formation against Benin:

Nwabali (Gk)

Bassey (LCB)
Tanimu (CB)
Ajayi (RCB)

Ndidi (CM)
Yusuf (CM)
Iwobi (AM)
Osayi-Samuel (LWB)
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (if fit) or Awazeim (RWB)

Lookman (CF)
Boniface (CF)

God really created us different. Each given talents accordingly to their ability.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
