You must live in a different part of the space and time continuum. My post was 20 minutes before the United v Spurs match kicked off.

Our friend Erik Ten Hag i think deploys suicidal tactics, his players especially middle of the field area are always too far from each other.
His midfielders always appear to be outnumbered even by midtable teams, and his defence is always isolated.
Did his Ajax use to play like that, i remember they looked good in Champions League, but i think they also used to concede a lot of goals.

Im now scratching my head, i wondsr if he can improve or change tactics.....
Hes been embarrased couple of times now, losing with big scores.

I wonder
I repeat.
How come United always seems so open and easy to cut through.

United is not set up to be a compact team
But worse still, it. doesnt score a lot of goals.

Is Ten Hag a tactically naive manager?

Next games, Port and Aston Villa away.

Followed by cheeky Brentford then West Ham. and. Chelsea.

Crucial times for Erik

A few days ago United let FC Twente's RB run almost the entire length of the pitch (through the MIDDLE of the pitch) to set up a goal. After that in the very next game, United let Spurs' defender Van Der Ven do exactly the same thing. Utterly criminal that United let two defenders waltz through the middle of the pitch without a United player taking out a contract hit on them.

ETH sold some of his most dependable but unspectacular players (McTominay, AWB). Very noticeable that two Spurs goals came down the United RB area (which AWB used to have on lock down because he cares more about defending than attacking). With 2 attacking FBs, United's flanks are as exposed as buttocks on a nudist beach ⛱️.

...Dalot has diminished, not as fast and ruthless as he was a year ago. All defenders are all "has been", no fresh and determined players.

At this point, I think Man U needs a battery recharge. And 10hag can't give you that. He is stale.

Luke Shaw has played a grand total of 12 Premier League matches in the last 2 years. His last appearance for Manchester United was 8 months ago. This is reaching Rojo levels.

A case of a ref turning a game upside down. The FA should back the ref because such turn of events just make somebody mad. I rather know that one of our boys messed up and live with that than know that the ref gave the game away.

Plus how did Bruno Fernandes contrive to get sent off twice in successive matches in the space of only 5 days?

...the guy is tired, a good leader he is, but he is getting up there tired as a creative player he was in the past.
His approaches to tackles look reckless (both) and unnecessary causing some over zealous ref to issue card.

Strip him of the captaincy and put players that want to be on the field on it.

Man U waiting for the losses to be 10 before sacking 10Hag?

Not scared, just not too excited. I know I am afraid to hope...at least for now.

36yo and man of the match. You can tell he is the last Ferguson era player still at the club. Bravo Jonny Evans.

He is going to win some obscure trophy to convince Ineos Group.
