Nwabali lost his mom.

Post by EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA »

Lost his Dad just a few months ago too. Rip to his Mom. May her souls rest in eternal peace.
Condolences to Stanley. It’s not easy losing one’s mom. Everything changes thereafter.

shocking indeed considering he is probably still grieving his dad's passing; what exactly is going on there
make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable.

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

Really sad
I pray for Stanley's protection and that he be comforted through all these challenging times.

Wow. Sad for the lad. This happens sometimes when the couple are so close and the loss of one serious affects the spouse.

This is so unfortunate.
Within a matter of a few months he has list both parents.
May she RIP and we pray Nwabali and his family get through this, God being their strength.

Apparently, he’s not in a good mental shape currently. The NFF psychologists have to provide help for him to be recovered and ready for the WCQs. He should not be left alone to sort himself out.

Let’s be honest.
The NFF can’t do much more than the occasional phone call which he might not even want beyond the one or two.
Then maybe an offer to attend the funeral(s) - but even that would be for him to decide to invite them.
Beyond that, what official role would they play?

It would even be wrong for them to insist on having him return to NT duty if he doesn’t feel ready.
Only then might there be a need for extra psychology and/or bereavement counseling, which, again he could reject.

Meanwhile much of this would already have been done by his club.
In these matters, overkill can actually be counterproductive.

It is tough.... two devastating incidents in quick succession. It will take some time.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics
